When you have a full English at a cafe and the baked beans come in a little ramekin. I mean... just... Why don't have to ladle the beans on the plate myself. At what point did people start complaining, "I don't like baked beans touching my sausage" (phnar!), that necessitated such an endeavour?
He could also have a higher wage abroad and less to spend it on.
Or, a higher wage, but higher cost of living.
Or, lower wage, but higher standard of living
Or... Einy, meeny, miney, mo.
Joking aside, what would be the maximum points you could deduct from a team and not make them just think, "soddit, we've got no chance," and just throw in the towel, thereby heavily affecting the league's balance?
I think 10 has to be the absolute maximum.
Whilst on holiday I came across the first book of The Last Chronicle of Thomas Covenant, The Runes of the Earth.
I had no idea there was a third series of Thomas Covenant books. I'd read the first two when they first came out (1980s) and this wasn't written until the 2000s.
Has Stephen Donaldson (the author) lost it in that time. Thankfully not. Loving this as much as the first two chronicles and they're some of my favourite books.
Hefty reading though. Each book is 600+ pp.
