The biggest miss in Rothley imo is the Royal Oak. Should be an absolute hit but it's properly crap, just an Everards gaff they barely give a shit about. Tiger on if you're lucky, naff strip lighting everywhere. Really desperate. It's virtually the focal point of a really nice village and should be legit but its just shite. Mountsorrel is better than Quorn by a stretch. I could live in the Swan, by far and away the best pub in the county. Quorn is full of 5'6" Forest dads who run estate agents.

I would argue the hot take is from the tiny number of people putting him in that bracket tbh, rather than your opposition to it. The broad, borderline universal consensus would be that he was a bit boring and underachieved with the squad he had but oversaw a period of transition.
