The booking wasn't made directly through them though, by the sounds of it? Apologies if wrong.

That's like getting bad service at Tesco and then complaining to Sainsbury's about it and asking them to rectify the situation.

If the club have a partnership with Woods, then I'd imagine it'll get investigated properly and hopefully a favourable outcome for the fans on the back of it i.e. reimbursement and perhaps good will gesture or discount on future travel options.

The booking was made direct through Woods

Surely Woods can do both. Official club travel and then lads hiring one of their buses. Not sure the club contract would stop the latter.

Coach travel for football in this country is a mess. The amount of hops and bullshit you have to jump through compared to say a rugby game.

It’s easier to get into the country as an illegal immigrant

I dunno about the club, it sounds like it’s their policy with Woods that has made this mess, as it not being done officially through the club being cited as reason for cancellation.

We made offers to try and reach some sort of compromise but all options were flatly refused with ignorance. Woods don’t care and it’s a disgrace.

Besides all that, we all know the club don’t care too.

Is it a group of 53? Or 53 Individuals? If a group, surely another coach company would be happy for a charter and earn a day's revenue?

Group of 53. All paid (and well over the odds may I add at £32 each when Woods charged £21 via the club).

Might be wrong but was this the same firm that conned Liverpool fans out of going to the Champions League final?

It wouldn’t surprise me with how they’ve behaved and the correspondence we’ve had.

They initially said that Leicestershire Police had stopped the bus, but when we confronted Leicestershire Police, it was evident that they hadn’t, and that Woods had been lying and quickly changed their tune.

  6. A group of 53 of us had booked a coach with WOODS to Liverpool for tomorrow’s game at Liverpool.

All paid for and all confirmed.

Only now, have Woods turned around and said that they have cancelled the bus. Their reason being that a former employee (that they have now sacked as a result), who had been dealing with our booking, was wrong and shouldn’t have accepted the booking on the basis that it wasn’t officially through Leicester City.

Follow up customer service has been poor. We have offered to follow any protocol required to get there, Woods refusing.

So 53 disgruntled ticket holders, home and away dedicated supporters with no way of getting to Liverpool just after Christmas.

All thanks to Woods 👍 Should be ashamed of themselves.

@CosbehFox as a bit of an authority on non-league, especially local: do you know if Harborough have any plans to upgrade their stadium? Seems like they have grand designs to push a bit higher, but the set up seems basic to say the least.

They’ve just built another small stand at the side of their 3G pitch, so I imagine they plan to stick with them their plastic pitch for a while. Strange little setup, just your standard 3G pitch with a bit of an area to stand around and a tidy little clubhouse. Plenty of cash down there so I’d have thought transforming the ground would be a priority.

What was L1 like on Saturday? Presume they will have enjoyed having HF on their side of the Palace lot.

Well if they were there, they didn’t really contribute much other than singing “**** the Tories”. 😴

L1 was poor, in line with current circumstances. Palace support was woeful too. I think we now have a large core of supporters that refuse to contribute to the atmosphere positively, as any positive result buys the clown more time.

  9. A few big names mentioned so I’ll go a bit out of the bubble here…

Nile Ranger for Newcastle on his debut in the Championship

Jimmy Kebe for Reading in a 2-1 (I think) loss for us at home after we had been linked with him all summer

Nick Pope for Burnley at Turf Moor in a must win for us to have any chance of Europe, he single handedly won them that match

Sean Scannell for Huddersfield in an FA Cup replay at our place

That villa keeper in both the semi finals 😷

You really believe Maddison will come out and slander his own boss, risking less game-time as a result? Give over.

We employed the tactic of Tielemans dropping deep so Castagne can go further up and Maddison shifts inside at several times last season and it worked. It just goes to shit when we lose the ball and players are out of position.

You are possibly the most clueless person on this forum. So playing a RB at RW and a CM at RB works now? And it’s not resulted indirectly to us conceding 11 goals in the last 2 games? You need your head wobbling like Brendan with his loopy tactics. It was so exciting watching our two centre halves on their back feet against 3/4 Spurs players running at them every time.

  11. I’d love to know if it’s intentional from Brendan or Maddison just doing as he wants, in that he is supposed to play wide right but drifts where ever he wants. Subsequently resulting in our full back (be it Castagne or Justin), end up at right wing and Tielemans at right back? Total disaster and ultimately this loss in shape is what results in the total s*** show that we watch week on week.

As for Maddison licking Brendans arse in the post match interview… we are done honestly. No matter how goes Maddison is, he’s clearly too big an influence in the dressing room for a proper muppet.

  12. Rodgers has been here for 3 and a half years now. He’s still insistent on playing a 4-3-3 when we only have one competent (or at least according to Rodgers anyway) winger in Barnes. Our squad is a mess. We have two professional experienced centre halves not even making the squad. We have 6 central midfielders in the squad (and that’s not counting Maddison who should be taking up one of the central roles). We’ve failed to replace a top goalkeeper.

This mess is down to Brendan. He’s been here long enough but has no clue how to manage a squad. I long for the days we have Nigel Pearson, who signed reliable players with the correct attitudes. We have no winners right now, no leaders, no players in that side to deal with defending set pieces, and that’s all down to poor recruitment. This is Rodgers mess and I feel sorry for whoever has to come in and sort this out.

He doesn’t get enough credit for the work he’s done at Bristol. Cleared out big earners, reduced the wage bill significantly and hardly spent a penny yet has still managed to improve the squad.

Bristol gave him time and are now reaping the benefits :pearson:

Exactly what we are in need of then!

Mid table and blood some youngsters whilst riding of dross. That’s the dream but we’ll probably sign more dross to block the path for the likes of Maswanhise and Braybrooke

Zero chance of that whilst Brendan is in charge. He has no interest in using some of the talented youth players we have in Braybrooke, Alves, Maswanhise. Meanwhile, look at Man City and Liverpool that regularly have youth players on the bench.

Again, why do people want Craig Dawson? We need someone with some pace and can pass alongside Evans, not someone as slow and poor on the ball as hm!

Whats the obsession with pace and defenders who can pass? We need defenders that can defend. Morgan, Huth, Wasyl, Taggart, Walsh, Elliott, all weren’t quick nor all particularly blessed with ball playing skills but all knew how to defend. Perhaps it’s about time we revert back to what made us successful.
