  1. In an attempt to not dominate the ‘ also in the news’ thread I thought it best to start this thread as it appears Israel’s response might go on for some time…
  2. well the plot twist being that the Unites states will have every excuse they need to deepen their commitment to Israel and their devide with Iran should they be found as being responsible for the funding and equipment that made its way to Hamas.
  3. I don’t disagree with some of what you are saying and if you ever get the chance read a book called Son of Hamas. It’s about the son of one of the leaders of Hamas being so repulsed about their Brutality to even their own people, that he turned on them. But I still maintain that one set of human rights violations is not an excuse to commit another..
  4. Slight plot twist , Maybe.. It’s been confirmed that 9 American citizens have been killed in the Hamas attacks.
  5. and this is one of my main concerns.. sure. Shoot every Hamas fighter you find. Get a Few punches in first if you really have to.. my point is , take your anger out on the army that caused this… don’t take it out on women and children - who’s rights you are furious about being violated.
  6. Looks more like Demarai Gray…
  7. Who is responsible for this Facebook page?
  8. I was just about to post the exact same thing!
  9. From what I can see, a lot of munitions / equipment and weapons left behind by the U.S army in Afghanistan has found its way into Hamas’ hands..
  10. To be fair, if they offered 40m for him I’d snap their hand off. I totally trust Maresca to get someone just as good and pocket the cash for next season.
  11. Here is my concern. Netanyahu has gone on tv telling those living in the City of Gaza to leave as they are coming for Hamas. I believe that he will use this as validation to target every Male living in the area. Which would be nothing short genocide imho. Bit from an Israeli point of view they will feel justified due to those men not leaving the area and the fact that Hamza fighters will try and blend back in to society. I mean, what did Hamas THINK the response would be? How did they think a strong well equipped military nation would respond? it’s the ordinary citizens on both sides of the equation that will suffer. I don’t give a flying monkey’s about either sides military- let them duke it out. It’s the citizens I feel sorry for.
  12. I agree that this is the inevitable next step. but where next after that? just deeper hatred and distrust on both sides. Hamas may feel like they have just scored a valuable point and in many ways they have… but they will soon cry foul when Israel tighten the borders and limit movement even more. I just don’t like any of it. It’s all horrible. I hate all of it.
  13. there’s videos of whole classrooms of school girls being kidnapped with voices telling them they are going to be sold as sex slaves. These are 10-14 year olds. its awful. I also have a problem, on a humanitarian level and for reasons mentioned in my previous post, with Israel cutting off the electricity supply to the Palestinian areas. Also, there is talk of the tax money Israel collects and hands over to the Palestinian authorities being used as reparations for the killed Israelis and to pay for the damage caused by the rocket attacks. I understand the arguments of ‘ why give them power for them to then use it against us’ but well.. but support for the rocket attacks is not a universally held Palestinian opinion.. the part that saddens me most about it all is that I don’t know of a solution that will suit both sides.
  14. About 15 or so years ago I went and stayed with a Palestinian family in Beit Jala- a suburb of Bethlehem in the West Bank for 2 weeks. Never a truer word said that hardliners are in control of both sides of this longstanding argument. Palestinians are some of the friendliest, nicest people I have ever met and not a single one I spoke to ( Muslim or Christian ) condoned, agreed or approved of the targeting civilians or the use of violence to advance any ideology/ political ambitions or claims. Both sides have seen such bad leadership for decades now that the divide and hatred is so deep that it makes any kind of peaceful solution almost unobtainable. it’s all very sad to see.
  15. You have to love the Samoans…
  16. Eventful game…

  21. Make that their B team..
  22. if you are not impressed by his ability to take someone on, whip in a cross and to set people up, then there’s not much anyone can do for you! You’ll not be reasoned with!
  23. Ndidi off to Barcelona next season if he keeps this up!
  24. When we are winning 1-0 it almost feels like we are cheating bringing on Ndidi and Vardy….
