I disagree massively with a lot of this. The play is not honking.. a couple of players are, though and if Marti had actually been given some money to spend instead of relying on frees and loans it would be so much better. Also, he’s battled having a lot of players want to leave and he’s had to juggle that too.. im actually impressed with what he has been able to get out of the players he has. Far more than previous managers. also, the jury certainly is not still out on Marti. For the most part, he’s got the players working hard,,playing together, developing some character you can actually see what he’s trying to do. I think he is doing a great job with what he has at his disposal The jury is certainly still out on the owners though.. shifted some deadwood but spent hardly anything. It’s a really tough ask bringing a manager in and not giving him anything to spend.

it’s a big game against a good team. Not sure about starting Caranza. I would have thought we’d see him for. Few minutes if we were planning on starting him in this game. Besides, I actually think Ayew played a blinder today.looked class.

I think this game will be the first real benchmark of where we are at. No one can say they don’t know what Marti is all about any more and none or our regulars can claim they don’t know how he wants them to play. winks has to start. That’s obvious.it would give us more fluidity first half. We seem a bit too rigid without him. the big conundrum for me is Riccy or Hamza. Marti seems to like to keep it tight in the first half, read the game and then make some decent subs. I’d like Riccy to start but Coventry are a good team and I’m inclined to think Marti will stick with Hamza and then bring Riccy on. If there’s one thing about Hamza, he’s a more physical player and gets some strong tackles in so we might need that in the first half..
