Whilst we have not gained a sporting advantage in terms of actually avoiding relegation, they will still say we have gained a sporting advantage in single matches in our attempt to avoid relegation. If we had finished bottom with zero points maybe there would be a case for it, but we didn't. I don't see how it's anything other than flimsy mitigation.

From what I've read it's worth almost a minimum of £1m in prize money if we are to make the semi-finals; £450k for winning the quarter final, £500k for losing the semi final. There's also a 1/4 share of 58.5% of the total semi final gate receipts (if rules are the same as a couple of years ago). If we were to get to the final then it's worth a minimum of £2.45m should we lose the final. It's worth £3.45m if we were to win the thing. These aren't astronomical numbers, and of course there may well be bonuses to be paid too, but financially it may be important for us to give it a go - and we should give it a go anyway in my opinion. It's probably unlikely we'll get through, but it would surely be madness to go there and field a side more likely to get battered.

Millwall (A) - Tuesday 9th April @ 19:45 - Live on Sky Sports

Seems strange they'd give us the pricing for the lower tier and dictate that we sell the lower tier first, only to then take it away. Odd. -
As others have said it's a massive weekend for us, especially considering we don't play next weekend. A loss tomorrow and these two getting wins would mean we could quite easily find ourselves third by the time we next play. I do fancy both Wednesday and Cardiff to give them decent games though.

As it's for a rolling three year period we could very well find ourselves in a position where we are desperate to sell by the end of June to comply in 23/24, yet then able to spend (sensibly) July onwards as a new season has began. You'd expect with many departures on large wages and our rather tame transfer activity over the past two seasons that there would be quite a bit of room to move if we are promoted. We could essentially be forced into a bit of a rebuild which may be no bad thing, but I'm not sure I have any faith in this regime to make it a success.

Southampton game postponed.

I watched most of their game alongside ours and although we were dreadful, so were they until the final ten...

In truth a lot depends on which side he is (presuming we stick with that system which we will) regardless of his partner. Left side and he'll be on it as usual, right side and he just runs into traffic and is completely nullified.

Our 9-0 away record - could it go tonight?

They just weren't up to the standard of our mentality monsters -
Yesterday I heard someone shout that Fatawu is worse than Demarai Gray

It's not train strikes, there's a rail replacement service for part of the journey due to works on the line at Bedford.

No trouble in the city itself, most people you come across are tourists anyway. As others have said, there were big problems inside the ground with the Police and Roma fans constantly throwing pyro into our end. Despite us losing it was a relatively painless away compared to others we experienced during that campaign. It’s a great city, have a great time if you go over.

Superb away end. Didn’t stop all game and into the streets afterwards.

I do think people need to remember that he's 19 (soon to be 20). To be as good as he is at this age is special, and he'll only keep on improving.

Yes, twice

He was okay first half vs a very poor side and very poor in the second. “Okay” should be the bare minimum for a player with his ability and pedigree but rarely do we ever see it during a full performance of his.

There was a chap in SK1 kicking off at everyone not applauding at the end of that game

Nobody had any faith and that’s because we knew this would happen due to failures before. Pathetic.

This is beyond parody which is saying something for these muppets

The problem is that many fans want 100mph football (even if that means the opponent having the ball more and creating more chances), yet negate to appreciate the effect that playing in that way can have upon a squad (not least in terms of fitness and injuries). The Championship is a long old slog, and whilst we are controlling games we are also managing the season better. Most would probably see the way that Leeds or Ipswich play (at home) as more exciting, but both are significantly off the pace that we have set and there's a reason for that - despite the advantage in resources over Ipswich. We are still the top scorers in the league (by six goals) with the best defence. The success and the way in which we achieved it has really blinded a significant part of our fanbase.

FA Cup 5th Round Draw - Bournemouth Away.

I'd imagine it'll be around 1500, but with it being midweek I think there's a chance it at least makes all STH.
