My understanding is that they are not appealing against the six points that were deducted, but that there was no sanction for us submitting accounts late. I've seen some journalists saying that they are hoping for one extra point for this.

It's nice to see two former players at the helm. I certainly trust them more than I'd trust someone like Russell Martin. Here's hoping they can somehow turn things around.

If we are doing well there is no way that I want these clowns searching for another manager.

Certainly not against him until the end of the season, and if he does well then he's earned the right to keep it into next season for me whilst we rebuild. As a kid I liked him for us as a player, and he's always come across very well in punditry too. Whilst managing Birmingham one of my mates who supports them would have had you believe he was God. But as others have commented, this really does further demonstrate how far we have fallen.

I think a lot of the attraction with Gerrard is also linked to how Lampard has failed to impress, and then gone in and done a good job at Coventry. The thought of Gerrard coaching Page is quite exciting though...
