  1. Like Mads but don't think he's been at top level this calendar year. He's too good for the Champ, not that I want to openly sell but he's our biggest asset so hopefully the injury doesn't hinder that. I highly rate Stolarczyk too and happy to have him number one next season without Mads.
  2. He's one manager I'd like who would get me excited to go and watch us. He's made a shite Wednesday team mid table.
  3. But they have basically been waiting for the playoffs for at least a month. A bit like I can't see Sheffield Utd raising their game for their last few either now. They are both sub consciously playing the season out probably conserving energy and protecting players getting injured. I expect at least one of them to make the final, and I reckon they'll be more on in come the playoffs probably will have rested players too
  4. I honestly would take a mid table side next season who we can get behind with players fighting for the badge or youngsters from the academy. Winks, Vestergaard, Ayew, BDR, Coady to name just a few can just **** off. We've had too many free loaders for far too long.
  5. If you have body pain then rest is needed for longer, from what you say I'd have two to three days off and do a shorter run for a first come back. Tbf I should listen to my own advice, my legs tell me I need to rest and I don't always. Problem I have is I get bored especially on days off living alone, and I feel so much better for running both mentally and physically. But we all have to listen to the bodies!
  6. Sometimes just need the rest mate. Unless I was doing around 5ks I never try to run more than two consecutive days really. It depends how fit you are too right now too obviously but I wouldn't worry about it and give yourself some rest
  7. Just done a 32k to hit 20 miles. Absolutely horrid. I've done a couple of light runs this week including a 6.5 yesterday. I knew I wasn't up to it today because I felt a bit of pain in that run yesterday. I don't think I give myself long enough to recover maybe. I was doing alright until the last 10k and my achy legs gave up. My ankle is killing me. I don't mind admitting I had to stop a few times and walk for some to hit 32k. Need to have a long rest period before doing that distance again. Anything over 20k starts to put real pressure on the legs. It's annoying because cardio wise or fitness wise I don't feel bad at all. But **** me my legs are in agony
  8. That's where I was! It's now just been announced next week is all ticket. Not surprised
  9. The attendances have gone up and up and up in the last few games. I've been to the last four games (didn't go before that) and each time has pulled a good crowd in. Think the cheap kids tickets helped today. But they need to come up with a solution, season ticket holders queuing up with people buying on the gate and missing kick off shouldn't happen. We've actually bought seats for a week on Saturday to ensure we don't miss out again 😂
  10. Carnage getting in though 😂 I got there late about 1450, queues everywhere and no idea if they let everyone get in or not. They weren't geared up for it and should have made it all ticket really. I missed the first goal because of it 😂 But good fk goal for the second and then they just saw the game out. Good atmosphere there today
  11. Decent that is mate. Gonna try and do 30k in the next couple of weeks time permitting. Last time I did it my legs collapsed after 20-23k and I fell off a cliff. I did 20 then 25 inside a few days so the 30k was basically a step too far, that was back in January. My favourite distance is definitely 15k or 10 miles, after that I get a little bored and feel the need for a drinks break etc.
  12. As said I've already abandoned watching us this season. If he's still there next season I might do the same until he's gone. Shocking he's still in a job
  13. Right tight game. Most action came in first half. Altrincham don't have much up front really though but both teams hit the woodwork early on. Honestly probably should have been 0-0, or 1-1 but it was a grind for Boston. Great weather too. And I'm back there good Friday where if they win I think that should see them safe
  14. But the internal atmosphere is the best Coady has played in. willy puller he is along with all the others
  15. How was it? Up early for that run mate, although wise with the heat. Just done a 23km myself at 4:57 kmph average. Which I'm happy about that about matches my best half marathon about a month ago. The elapsed time was slower though by about 7 mins (elapsed splits 5:25) because I have to stop for water breaks, and I'm trying new routes so pausing for a few seconds to see where I am 😂 Also the warmer weather is making me often desperate for a piss, must be the weather because it wasn't happening before 😂 So yeah reasonably happy considering I did 11km intervals yesterday. Think I could break my own record if I have significant rest before and also not as warm 😂
  16. Second lots of intervals I've done today. Again just did a two km jog as a warm up then bursts for 500m with a jog for next 500m repeat. Managed to do 7 bursts total, but **** me it's hot outside this evening. I'm absolutely dreading the summer tbh, I think I'm much more suited to cold weather running. It's really taking it out of me and I'm sweating like mad. I should have started these before. Think the fastest speed per km I was going at was 3:40, I really don't think I can go faster than that except the first burst or two. Will do a ten mile or half marathon distance tomorrow but light pace and with water. I don't think I'll be breaking my PBs any time soon unless I wake up very early in the morns when it's cooler
  17. Unbelievable. Just wish they had at least got a point at Wealdstone the other day, because now Wealdstone have won a couple it's given then a cushion. Tough game at home to Altrincham on Saturday which I may go to. Then again on Good Friday to Wealdstone again. 4 points would be decent. Solihull away after who are also still in the fight. Toughest game is Gateshead fighting for Playoffs. Last game is away at doomed Maidenhead so surely they can win there if it's required
  18. Started interval training yesterday. 2k jog then 500m burst then 500m jog repeat. Ran total of 11k with total of 4k ran at fast bursts. Absolutely killed me 😂 the more quick bursts I did I actually had to stop for a min or so as it was knackering. Also don't think the weather is helping, like it being sunnier but even at 15c I get absolutely baking 😂 I'm only used to running in the winter so far! Will keep going with them probably at the weekend but I definitely underestimated how hard they'd be. Think Strava said my 500m pace between 9k-9.5k was 3:42 pace but I'm not sure that's quite accurate in fairness. Managed to run 151k total in March which I'm chuffed with as I have a 100k target a month on Strava to aim for
  19. Yeah great value that is. Someone else has put here also I think but the food there is top notch also for the price, I happily buy food at non league places but would never at top clubs where it's overpriced crap. That missing stand I think is still some way off although them going professional next season might accelerate it. Vital they stay up, they had years in the lower leagues and it's so hard to come back up with only two promotion places
  20. Today I was beind the goal with the hardcore so was a good atmos. Tues night I was along the side but standing. Also good atmosphere although Southend brought 400 on Tues night the other end of that stand so that definitely added to it. Last minute winner today though made a great atmosphere as did the penalty save. It's a great little ground even with the one stand at one end not done yet. I'm actually going to I think all their home games remaining now as I've sacked off Lcfc home and away until August. Even going to the final game away at Maidenhead now which could be make or break
  21. Was at the game again today. Boston were the better team first half and let a silly equaliser in. Sutton were arguably the better team second half really as Boston didn't offer too much. Sutton had a pen saved at 1-1 which was then proved to be a massive moment. The Boston winner looked a bit scuffed or scruffy but it doesn't matter. I'll watch it back though as it was at the other end to me
  22. Went to Boston Vs Southend on Tues and I'm going again on Saturday. I'm prioritising doing as many as their games as possible as I'm not bothering again with Leicester this season. Great atmosphere there and nice to be able to support something worth supporting
  23. That was freezing. Didn't help because the day before I had come back from San Francisco wear id been wearing shorts so I really felt the temperature change 🤣 Remember walking to the ground thinking I was ****ing freezing and actually saw a Leicester fan in shorts 🤣
  24. Signed up to my first actual organised run. Doing Kings Lynn 10k in early May. Looking forward to it.
  25. Don't envy running in London, must be a nightmare with how busy it can get even at the quiet times! Good going though that is even if an unofficial time. I think 10km or 10 miles (16k) are my favourites but it does become more of a mental push over 10k I find. I enjoyed the half marathon distance on Saturday I did but wouldn't do that long more than probably once a month
