10k pb just now. 45:04 Pleased with that, although actually dropped off at close to 4:40 mins per km for the halfway stage. Somehow stormed the end with 4:13 and 4:14 in the last 2km Gutted wasn't under 45 mins but the route I do does spend at least ten seconds twisting and turning around fencing where a railway track is so that's what's done it for me. Been nursing a real pain in my back the last two days also so delighted with now I've run with that. Separate note the weather is amazing right now. Although 15 degrees feels hot af to me rn so I'm dreading may/june coming 😂😂😂

Will you go to any more matches this season?
peterborofox replied to hejammy's topic in Leicester City Forum
I'm not bothering at all again this season. Made that decision before Sunday but Sunday just reinforced it. I cannot justify the cost in travel to see a total lack of any fight or anything. It's got to the point now where I've already written the season off and I've become apathetic and don't let it bother me. Want to go and watch some non league instead -
God get this manager gone. Id rather have filbert fox in for the last nine games than this
-
Would genuinely love to know why Daka is so deep and Vardy the one running onto things. It should be the other way around. Literally no point playing Daka like this, Buonanotte would be better surely

Attempted 5k pb again yesterday...two seconds slower at 20:40 😂 need to start the intervals training soon. Could do with doing a parkrun with a 20min pacer there too really! Cheered myself up today though, did half marathon distance in 1 hour 45 mins. Managed to keep the pace below 5 mins per km at 4:57 which I'm pleased about no end. Broke my 15k, 10 mile, 20k and half marathon PBs with that today. Also 10k in 49 mins which isn't far off my pb, so reckon I could get close to 45 mins in that distance now

I don't mind if Daka plays as long as we utilise him properly and he puts the effort in. He's shite in front of goal but he can press. He can run and pull defenders too. This is where we do no other the top balls or anything in behind though. We so struggle to get up the pitch as we have no pace so hopefully him playing solves this a bit
-
Happy he's changed it just a shame it's at least 8 games too late. Faes playing is a joke though. Bloke is terrible

We're going down because we literally can't draw games. A point when you're shit should never be disrespected. Been saying since before Xmas id have loved to have seen some shite 0-0s, just to build a base from. Or even a one all. Unfortunately this team and manager are not capable. And soon we're in the territory that draws are no good anyways.

I recently posted similar if you look back through a page or so. You have to have rest. I hated the thought of too much rest really but managed to do a week with no running and it really helped. Plus wearing compression socks/sleeves when running and also just day to day even at work when I was in the week recovery. Oh and don't run through them even if the pain subsided, it only comes back! I got my best 10k on my first run back and best 5k on Monday. I also haven't run the distance I did when I got the splits, I ran a 20, 25 and 30k all in about two weeks and that did me in. I've done a 16k last week but I'll give another half marathon a go soon. Also expensive running shoes really do make the difference. I forked out £150 on mine and didn't want to spend the money but so glad I did. It makes such a difference.

That's mega impressive mate! Just literally back from my best 5k attempt.... As said before I'm after sub 20 mins. Last pb was 21:50 in Jan, generally run longer now. Just done in it 20:38. I'm relatively happy with that but annoyed not far off sub 20 mins. Think if I ever crack 20 I'll never run 5k again 😂 Think I need to do interval training as people have said here before. Also need to adjust my pace a bit as I'm a bit too quick in the first 2k and even tho I empty the tank at the end I've left a bit too much to do.

Worst manager I've ever seen. Id take Puel or Holloway or Sousa over this clown. -

Boring, dull, nothing upfront. Awful. I'd have savage in charge over this clown -
Thanks for the reply. No I haven't done intervals yet. I think that's what I might have to do next. My longer runs have always been at an average pace really. Fair enough about the weather but I'm also dreading the real hot summer days as that will restrict me to different times of the day when atm I usually run on days off at kat morning times.

Anyone got any tips on how to achieve a sub 20 mins 5k? I honestly struggle to see how it's possible! My 5k pb is about 21:50 about a month ago. I've not actively tried to beat that due to mainly doing longer distances and probably also thinking it's unachievable atm. Just come back from a light paced 7km. Tried to push at the end to around a 4kmph speed. It's so hard. I can't see how I could maintain that for 5km really. I know I'd have to sit around 4:20 for most part then really push towards the end. Honestly anyone sub 20 mins have my utmost respect!

Wolves win this now. Ipswich are dog shit. They're no better than us really. Least they're better prepared to bounce back up
-
Correct. Imo he's almost waiting to get sacked now. Playing that front three week in and week out is a disgrace. I get he's been let down transfer wise and out recruitment is shit. But I've never seen a manger keep opting for the same team and tactics time and time again expecting a different result. Any manager who hasn't scored at home since November deserves to be sacked. I honestly think he's one of the worst managers I've seen. At least try something different formation wise or change that front three. What he's done to Buonanotte is a disgrace too. He's arguably our best player.

Anyone who still wants this clown in charge needs their brains examining Same front three Not changed formation once Can't score Can't defend Embarrassing -
Gave my ongoing shin splints a week rest and did 10k today. Pleased because I didn't really set off to do anything more than a decent pace without pushing. Ended up feeling better than I thought with only slight aches in the shins, nothing major. Got a PB of 48 mins which is a minute better than previous record. So I'm happy with that all in all. New shoes probably made a difference too, hopefully £150 worth it long term 😂 Also how good is the weather all of a sudden? 13c outside and absolutely perfect to run in. No more long tops or leggings needed either
-
Brooks Glycerin 22 not cheap but thought I'd best fork out as it will probably be worth it.
-
Taken a week off running because of shin splints. Will go for a light pace tomorrow see how I feel. Forked out on some pricey running shoes too so hopefully they help the legs as well. Concerned I'll lose fitness if sit about any longer 😂

Can't score for toffee. 0-1 loss

He's dog shit. Any half decent lower league manager would at least get us to score once in five home games. He's made us worse defensively and worse up top. Subs and in game decision's shite. Game was crying out for Daka for Vardy, just for some pace and chasing loose balls. We had no outlet at all. Subs were far too late. A draw would be a good result but we didn't manage the game to achieve that, we were going far too gung ho and if we go up in that style against better teams they'll always take the chances more than us
