The issue with lookman in my opinion, is he is too lightweight for a premier league club that has big ambitions. Compare him to Bernardo silva equally small in stature but strong and athletic. Harrison is more athletic and aggressive, which we do not currently have enough off. This signing (if it happens) fills me with confidence, that we are now buying players not just for their technical aspects but more for their attitude and all round athleticism too.

Agree. I also think players that disassociate with the club stand out. Youri always makes a beeline for the fans both home and away, I genuinely believe if we somehow turn the season around, or sees we want to challenge next season, I think he will stay. realistically though we are doggo at the minute

I think it comes down to our own opinions and perspectives. I don’t see youri as downing tools, that’s as a season ticket holder and someone that goes to a dozen or so away games. out of form yes (who isn’t), downing tools, no… in my opinion.

By all accounts he loves it at Leicester, his family are settled, it’s not as clear cut as you and others believe. Of course he wants to win trophies and compete, something we have been doing until last season. If we get into Europe (as unlikely as that is) I think he will stay. I actually think his attitude is a mature one.

But he doesn’t want out…., people think because he hasn’t signed a contract he wants out. This isn’t a Fofana situation where a player wants out so pushes for a move. he is merely waiting until the end of the season as is his right, before choosing what is best for him and his family. he could end up staying particularly if we somehow make Europe. But because he hasn’t signed a contract people assume he is unhappy and 100% wants to leave.

I work in sports and have the same view too. Also pre game warm ups there doesn’t seem to be the focus and energy other teams have. Just my observation though.

I couldn’t get tickets, but go to 5-10 aways over the course of the season plus have a season ticket. To be honest I’m glad it didn’t get to my points bracket.

As much as I agree with some points, that we have players past it, and not good enough… Newcastle and Brightons squads, player to player are not better then ours. The difference is they are playing with confidence, with a clear plan and belief in the system like our players were 3 seasons ago. Most of us have mocked the likes of joelinton and Almiron over the years, now they are different players. Ours are in reverse, lauded now appear crap.

We have 3 clean sheets out of 4 which of course is progress and brilliant! Also we are defending set pieces better, and getting blocks in, which is of course great too. But playing devils advocate, are we still being sloppy with mis placed passes and lack of concentration? As such is it only because the opposition is crap with a bit of “much needed luck”, that has helped the defenders to not concede?

The key is how do we replicate that again v C.Palace…. Can the Tifo not be re used? Do we need confident fans in different areas of the ground to engineer fans behaviour? (Aware it shouldn’t be this way, but it is)
