Agree with the thought Scotland probably had one of the hardest groups . I think they didn’t really do that badly in terms of expectations but weren’t good enough in attack particularly against Haiti and yes defensive wise cost themselves a couple of goals v Brazil .
-
And they put stuff on the IPlayer etc but people seem to find it hard to understand how to use that . I think there are some who literally rely on a TV guide use 3 channels and expect everything to be as normal without any changes . God forbid Eastenders not be on one night !

8 games each for the BBC and ITV. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c3vy1ynv34ko Cue loads of complaints from loads on social media about Wimbledon tennis and the football being on at same time .

Austria and Algeria draw albeit not probably as people expected but sure the 96th injury time equaliser will send conspiracy theorists mad . Shame for Iran. -
Group K: Portugal, Uzbekistan, Colombia, Congo DR

Good dangerous tram and their support makes it look like a home game . -
Having just signed a new contract too .
-
Got the job done second half. They will know we need to be better particularly defensively, Bring on .. Senegal /DR Congo .

Very sad news for Cody Gakpo and his partner. Condolences to them . https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/ce37zz21e98o

Amazing what happens with some quality play !

Panama have been organised and defended well . Up to us to find that quality to break them down . Maybe need more presence up front and move the ball quicker .

You just don’t trust us to be disciplined or sensible enough to think about how we might reach any target or save a game . -
Metro reporting Mainoo and Rashford start? Jarell Quansah right back and Morgan Rodgers in too .

Granit Xhaka; to Chelsea ? Previously worked with Alonso . https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11661/13558363/granit-xhaka-transfer-news-chelsea-interested-in-signing-sunderland-midfielder-to-reunite-him-with-xabi-alonso Certainly add a lot of experience but at what price .

Couple of late wickets would be nice . Probably don’t want to be chasing much . -
Russell needs to turn this pole if it stands into a win tomorrow. Ferrari certainly upped their game - new engine coming good ?

Not looking good for Raducanu. A familiar story . https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/tennis/articles/cwylp9qjn9jo

Where would the last 32 game be if we top the group - guess 5pm on a Wednesday would mean early afternoon in the US?
-
We want to win the group and avoid a Portugal or Colombia.

Just like the Black caps yesterday morning. -
Keeper is ahead of the attacker so not sure it matters?

Group H: Spain, Cape Verde, Saudi Arabia, Uruguay
Super_horns replied to davieG's topic in World Cup 2026
They did draw three games but unlike Scotland defended well . -
So it’s Senegal or DR Congo for us . Prefer the latter . So long as we win the group .
-
Argentina’s side of the draw looks potentially like a breeze for them till the semi finals whereas as the other side appears very heavy with favourites. Just noticed there is a last 32 game tomorrow night . Quick turn around our time from the last of the group games . .
-
Iran with a late disallowed goal ? Was a D.Trump on VAR ! Can see both Belgium and Egypt progressing even further now .
