  1. I'll take half that bet if he signs for a prem team thats £250 for 10 prem goals till he retires. On the assumption he signs for a Premier league team this year. Any winnings to charity..If he signs and fails I will cough up.
  2. Yeah ! Daka would have came on and done the same.
  3. Cooper has the pedigree and experience to turn this around against all call odds. Good connections with the England youth set up and successes along with the contacts from managing Liverpools academy. If he manages to keep us up ot will be despite the higher regime.
  4. Thanks for clarifying, So he's more leaning towards commercial and financial issues and according to many sources is pretty shit at this. If this is the case then we are short of a director of footballing strategy. We obviously need this to steer the overall direction of the club in terms of aims ambitions and footballing style across the club.
  5. Sorry if going over old points. But what is Rudkins actual role? Is he the Technical director of football, which would entail implementing a playing style across all age groups and also over seeing first team support functions. Also would include identifying areas for signings to be made This would be working with the first team coach. Or is he more of a commercial director negotiating transfer and contracts and overall operating strategy? If he's trying to cover both then in his defence it's too much, and also functionally compromising.
  6. We will only compete with the bottom six this year.We will take some sound beatings against the big boys.with this squad Steve Cooper is on an hiding to nothing. This is the worst squad to get promoted since Brian Littles lot and even they had graft and spirit. We can only hope that Steve with his England and Liverpool experience and connections can guide the recruitment and pull a few rabbits out the hat.
  7. Looks like we are doing a Norwich or West brom etc.Budgeting to get relegated.Take the Premier league money No significant signing,no big wages.make a profit ,wipe the slate clean.Good business? Not very exciting for fans but could provide the reset required for the club going forward.and if by some fluke we manage to stay up....then even better
  8. Good lad ,great attitude.Championship player at very best.
  9. Could be a few teams interested on Viccy Park? Maybe a whip round for his wages ?
  10. Cooper will prove to be a very shrewd appointment by Rudders. His knowledge gained from the Liverpool Academy and his Engand achievements may well pull us through the first transitional season.
  11. Don't read too much into these friendlies. It's just about getting minutes into the legs. We all know unfortunately that individually and collectively that this squad hasn't got a chance of competing at Premier League level. We need reinforcements .possibly ten signings required.
  12. Scary, regardless of formations and playing styles, the players are pretty, average to poor by premier league standards. We may suffer a few severe beatings.Steve Cooper Has his work cut out. .
  13. Maybe we care about having the best national team we can.
  14. Maybe a bit of football protectionism. Nurturing our own coaching and grassroots infrastructure is something we should all care about
  15. Couldn't imagine what it would feel like not to care about our own nation.
  16. Let's hope you're right
  17. Stop sugar coating it!
  18. He might have struggled to hold down a first team place here, now we're back in the Premier league and the Cooper cavalry are on the horizon!
  19. Nothing wrong with Cooper and 1 million times better than Potter. Potter would have been Brendon mark 2 In a football sense-but without the psychopathic narcissistic.
  20. I Remember one team on a shoestring budget winning the Premier league, not so long ago.................
  21. Stevie Cooper is a blue.......He hates Forest!!
  22. Stevie Cooper is a blue-He hates Forest!!!!!!
  23. Who would you recommend instead though, and what would the strategy be for recruiting him ,without further breaches of the financial regulations.
