  1. In fairness I don't think Hamilton has been moaning that much really. He's been pretty chilled whenever I've listened to him. He just sounds checked out with Mercedes. He knows he's gone at the end of the year and Mercedes are all-in on GR now. He knows the car they have this year won't even be able to match what he achieved last year so it looks as if he's going through the motions right now. We'll see if things pick up as the season goes on but he hasn't turned up yet that's for sure. OR we really are seeing the very sudden decline which would also be understandable considering he'll be 40 this year Personally I hope that's not the case as I wouldn't like to see another Michael Schumacher situation when he was well beaten by Rosberg 3 years on the bounce. Maybe we'll look back at 2023 and say that was his Mourinho at Manchester United moment when he dragged himself to 3rd in the standings below Red Bull when the car really had no business being placed that high. Maybe that could/should have been the end.
  2. Perhaps but I think the old heads in F1 need to be careful. F1 is American owned now. The idea of a single team & driver dominating like this is a foreign concept to them. Considering that Liberty are trying to crack the American market, as soon as the money and interest starts drying up we'll start hearing about F1 becoming more of a spec series/success ballasts etc. This will be the 3rd year of this with no signs of any other team getting to within a second of Red Bull. Madness.
  3. Or ..... do something to slow the Red Bulls down in 2025 like they did to the Mercedes in 2021. This isn't sustainable.
  4. If we lose it from the position we were in I'd gladly drive them out of the club myself. No point repeating the same mistakes as 20 & 21. Blow it all up and start again from scratch.
  5. 10 seconds faster than last year. Season over. Also, as a season opener I personally can't remember a worse one. Apart from Leclerc moaning about his brakes and mechanical issues with the Mercedes there was absolutely nothing going on. Looking dire.
  6. Just when we thought we were safe when Rodgers went:
  7. Record against promotion rivals so far: W1 D2 L2. 5 points from 15. Poor. Failure to beat QPR next Saturday I think we are in big big trouble with the fixtures we have coming up after that. The confidence Leeds United will get from this result will be unbelievable. Ipswich Town refuse to go away and are relishing the underdog tag. Their mentality is fantastic. Southampton are due a bounce back. This is going down to the wire. I can only pray it doesn't end the same way as 20 & 21. Not sure how the club would recover if we were to choke in such an unprecedented manner....again.
  8. The thing is, from the position we had, is falling over the line any better than not making it at all? Imagine what teams will do to us in the Premier League.
  9. Getting to the point where we need to think about cancelling the contracts of any players who played under Brendan Rodgers. Our application and mentality when we feel pressure is the worst you'll ever see. As for Daka and Mavididi, I stand by what I said in the match thread, drop them for a month. Totally ****ing unacceptable. For me I think it's a coin toss for whether we go up. Are people really confident we have the mental fortitude to get this done? Remember when we said we'd be fine in 20 & 21. That we'd be too good to go down in 23?
  10. As if we'd make it to Wembley
  11. Yea **** this. We aren't going up. **** the lot of them.
  12. Officials are a minor part of this debacle. We have had COUNTLESS chances to bury this ****ing match and we've shit ourselves AGAIN.
  13. Looking touch and go now to be honest. Top 2 in genuine threat. No way we have the mentality to win the playoffs.
  14. Was always going to happen. Mavididi and Daka need dropping for a month. An absolute ****ing disgrace. Soft. Weak. Pathetic.
  15. Looking extremely ominous already. If they are seriously 1 second faster than everyone else for qualifying next week then we might as well give Verstappen his title and save all of our Sunday's for the next 8 months. If not then the FIA need an urgent rethink on the budget cap and in-season testing.
  16. As others have said it's a nationwide problem. Passion for the game has gone. People don't REALLY give much of a fuq these days. I honestly overhear more people casually talk about the Darts, NFL or F1 personally. Ticket prices, VAR, Sky's decline and obsession with the big 6, FFP, bloated calendar, corruption, absurd player wages etc etc etc it's all been building to this. The sport has become...distant...something to casually watch every now and again. The people are bored.
  17. Absolutely huge news. Although if we're all honest, not TOTALLY surprising. He's been here before with McLaren in 2013. I'd wager he's seeing a similar pattern with Mercedes, a previously successful team slowly falling further and further away from the competition, a lack of fire and energy at board level, and significant brain drain. He probably felt it was now or never to make the jump to fulfil his ambition to do what his hero Senna never had the chance to, end his career at Ferrari. For Mercedes it's a PR nightmare and is a damning verdict on their future ambitions. Every race with Hamilton this year will be framed in terms of Ferrari, they'll be totally sidelined as a brand. So what do they do? Do they try and pay Hamilton to take a year off in 2024 to stop him taking the teams secrets to Ferrari and avoid the media circus? Have him drive a test mule all season and put 100% behind Russell? Or be professional and try and end their relationship on a high (is the relationship still intact)? On the flip side, by all accounts Mercedes see Antonelli as their next star so expect him in the seat come 2025 if he delivers in F2 this year. I've heard whispers that the tide is somewhat out on Russell after he was put in his place by Hamilton last season. Also a penny for Leclerc thoughts, it's a lose-lose really. Hamilton will be 40 by the time he races for Ferrari. A 40 year old hasn't won a Grand Prix since Nigel Mansell won in Australia in 1994! Leclerc will be in his prime, in HIS team vs a 40 year old in the twilight of his career, he HAS to win right?
  18. Play like that in the Premier League and we'll get pumped 3/4 every week. Criminal.
  19. Is it me or is St Andrews one of the darkest grounds in the country? Do they use torches instead of floodlights there?
  20. Unlike your pathological obsession with him it would appear.
  21. Indeed, and despite most people thinking he's been dogshit this year, he's still 2nd in the World Championship. The scariest thing for me though is that at no point have Red Bull really needed to go full chat. Verstappen has been told on multiple occasions to slow it down. If they wanted to push they'd be over a second a lap quicker. Unprecedented dominance with no end in sight unless Mercedes/Ferrari/McLaren can sneak in to Newey's office with some tracing paper.
  22. Remember when George Russell was widely mocked when he predicted Red Bull would win every race this season....well they're 13 from 13 so far. Just 9 to go.... Let's be honest, nobody has been close to beating them this year. Only a miracle will stop them now and with the budget cap, will anybody even get close next year?
  23. Still hasn't sunk in for me. The ****ing CHAMPIONSHIP
  24. Whatever people think of the Foxes Trust, fundamentally it doesn't matter because the club hasn't changed one bit since last season. Communication and transparency are still foreign concepts. Starts from the Top (literally), I bet not a single staff member advised him that the Thailand trip was a dumb **** idea after we were bombed out of the PL. Dissent and disobedience will not be tolerated. Not from his staff and especially from the fans his customers. How dare we? Fans of King Power FC might be wise to see past the puppy dog face and see Top for what he is. A billionaire businessman who hasn't a clue and doesn't give a **** either. If he looked like Mike Ashley I doubt he'd get 10% of the sympathy he bizarrely gets today.
