I tried it for the Brighton game. The interface was terrible, the options made no sense and didn't work properly. Then it disappeared. I need to sell my ticket for Liverpool so hopefully it's up again before then.

The official club advice was to gather there before the match and the atmosphere was actually fine until it kicked off.

His name's Rudkin? He'd probably still be in Madrid prison if he hadn't triggered his release clause.

I was sitting in the Plaza Mayor on Wednesday afternoon when it all kicked off. The thing that has struck me on all five trips is that it feels like you're going on holiday with thousands of people from all different walks of life, who you would never spend a single second with at any other time, and you're kind of expected to just all get along. It's different to domestic away games where everyone makes their own way there separately and don't go to the same places if they don't want to. For European away trips you're on the plane with all sorts and then all asked to gather in the same place when you get there. The number of families, older people and children at Porto, Sevilla and Madrid in particular has surprised me a bit. I doubt regular European teams (Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea etc) have anything like this cross-section of supporters attending their games abroad. Like everything that's happened to us over the past few years, it feels quite unique. You often get disagreements between the rowdier elements of our support (of all ages) and the families at domestic away games, but throw in the all-day drinking and the temperatures and it doesn't seem a great idea to encourage our fans to all gather in the same place - not that this trouble stemmed from disagreements amongst our fans but once you know some people want to get paralytic and chuck stuff at police, this didn't seem the best way to prepare for it or deal with it. When you're trying to get away from the trouble, the trickiest thing is that you're not quite sure what they want you to do. Where I was, they were chasing people down the two exits to the left and right at one stage and it was impossible to tell what we were supposed to do. And not everyone knows this is how the Spanish police deal with stuff like this. I was stone cold sober but lots weren't and I could understand why some of our fans didn't just get the hell out of there straight away when the vast majority hadn't done anything wrong. Obviously once this lot get going then you have to just try and steer clear of them if you can.

I know it's only a game and pales in comparison with some of the real struggles mentioned here but I think most of us are emotionally invested enough in football and Leicester City that we can talk about the effect this year has had on us as well. Perhaps the main thing I liked about winning the league was the unity and togetherness among fans and I haven't enjoyed seeing that largely evaporate over the past few weeks. So to see all different kinds of people come together to help fellow supporters with kind words and advice on this thread has been truly heartwarming and a reminder of what's really important. I like to have grand ambitions at the start of each year and by the end, I've often forgotten what they were anyway. This year I'm scaling down massively and just to be around this time next year in good health will be enough. Grand ambitions are right for some people and wrong for others. The main lesson life has taught me this year is that you're not in competition with anyone else and even if what you're doing seems wrong, you had your reasons and don't beat yourself up about it because it's counterproductive. I haven't actually learned either of those lessons yet but I know they're both correct deep down and I intend to learn them in 2017. Happy New Year to all and don't let this thread disappear if you feel you need it. There are a lot of people here for you. To everyone who has battled it, well done and keep going.

Sorry, I did mean to but completely forgot! -
Same here - there are probably a few of us who can't put it into words but are still following and rooting for you, and for anyone else struggling. Stick at it mate.

I'm signing copies of the book at Waterstones in Leicester this Saturday from 12.30, hopefully along with The Birch. I realise the timing isn't the best but it feels like the final part of a surreal year for me - would be great to see anyone who wants to come down before the long session you might need in the pub ahead of Man City... Thanks -

Unless they pull their fingers out and create another story worth writing about, there won't be one unfortunately. -

I support this idea. The Hull game made me think "bloody hell, good job I captured how I felt". It all seemed like a long time ago during that second half. -

For all those that have asked about prints, it looks like this will be happening - possibly in September. Will go nicely on the wall next to @Ricey's. -

It's basically owned by the publishers. I'm working on them! Think it would be great to be able to buy it as a print and have had a lot of interest in the idea. Will keep you posted.
