  1. Take a look at the ones we've brought through in detail. The majority have been nurtured by loans are by being involved with the 1st team almost straight from 18's level. U21 level has had minimal say in their dev.

Sounds like something equivilent to sub letting and I image is heavily frowned upon Any team now will be getting a free loan which means we will be able to ship him out fairly easy.
  3. Exactly... the only way of counteracting that though is having internal protocols, such as moving people on at age 22 if they've shown no signs of making the first team. We are in control of this after all, can end contracts as we wish within reason. It's all comfy comfy here, just like the manager and his staff, he knows first hand how long the last spanner was allowed to be in charge, and now he's being afforded exactly the same grace
  4. Last night (aged 20+) Brad Young - 21 (Sent back by a national league side as couldn't even become their 3rd choice keeper....) Brandon Cover - 20 - If he's any good, why no loan? Wormleighton - 20 - Been injured Godsmark Ford - 20 - No sign of a loan? Raikhy - 21 - Villa cast off.... god knows why.... Wanya - 21 - Had a taste of first team, contract caused issues - Has to go out on loan this month if we're serious about his future Maswanhise - 21 - Feels like he's been an U21 forever, yet again, no loan to speak off, what's our plan? Keep until 22 then release? It's just ridiculous to be honest. It's not fair on the lads either, if they're not good enough (majority above never will be) set them free to the lower leagues!
  5. Generally speaking... - Plays a similar style/tactic to first team manager - Play players in their actual positions to aid development (i've still not got over seeing Alves at DM last year) - Consistently bring U18's through when the talent is clearly there, exposing them to a higher level earlier - Encouraging powers that be to release anyone over the age of 21 who hasn't yet had a 1st team appearance - Not signing other clubs cast offs to fill squad, insist we promote U18's and below to assist with this, or where neccessary aid first team returners with injuries by giving them minutes. It's not all on him, the structure is a joke given the infratructure, we're wasting precious years at our new facility. It's no surprise most of those who have made the first team or gone on to be a success have pretty much skipped the U21 stage and gone out on loan or into the first team.
  6. Don't even know where to start with this question
  7. I was trying to work this out, I wonder if it's a little bit to do with the fact they've improved passing/movement so much, so if you put together a tactic that encompasses pressing and passing you've basically cracked it. Being able to win the league with Wolves 3 years in does feel a bit silly though *edit - Saudi money obviously makes a massive difference, funding clubs like Wolves to buy the likes of Endrick for example.
  8. Turns out I wasn't completely bat shit getting rid of everyone. League pretty much wrapped up, Europa league final. Love that i've gone to two clubs, dismantled them, brought in young players and delivered immediate success. Heading towards breaking the Premier League scoring record (125), broke the Europa League scoring record. Just delighted really, been a strange save, 1.5 years at Bristol City, 1.5 years at Wolves and then on to Man Utd. Main concern is finances, transfer budget for next season is £15m and before the end of season income comes in they're currently £250m in the red .... basically a sell before buy club. I know the purests will say it's easy at this level but i'm having fun and that's my main reason for playing as it's my only down time.
  9. Bit of a transition season for them, everyone half decent is either out on loan, sold for FFP or in the first team.
  10. Decent. Beaten by lads who haven’t been paid since before Christmas. Sound.
  11. Wouldn't laugh too much. Dyche will be manager of the year at this rate!
  12. It'll be a crackers deadline day for all clubs in the top two divs I reckon, especially waiting for some AFCON/Asia Cup returners who might need to have medicals etc.
  13. It’s not surprising given we’re the last big town before Loughborough on LBH Road, but do enjoy seeing how many Leicester shirts there is when I take my little one to the park in Ruddington. Also always a decent amount if I watch Leicester in Nottingham city centre, certainly don’t feel alone or like I’m causing an issue. If it’s midweek the Uni’s have a lot to do with that I think.
  14. Majority of the team live in notts. Most have since Seagrave.
  15. Cags coming back?
  16. Enzo and subs remains his only gripe for me, but doesn’t appear to be learning fast!
  17. What's everyone's favourite "That was petulant but **** it" story so far this year? Had a DOF at Wolves make a bid for Tete so I sacked him instantly....
  18. Probably quite a safe bet, no massive affinity to cricket down there, always felt like that ground was built specifically for England and T20 and selling that to that part of the country. **Felt I need to clarify... aware of their historical standing in the game, but don't think focus in that part of the country is on Cricket as a sport, with the 2 football teams dominating attention now. With T20 and Hundred more appealing to the locals now.
  19. This is usually the time of year Ryan Fraser stops bothering being a footballer so that'll be interesting.
  20. But if we buy one more we get a free one next time!
  21. Last point on the legend thing.... people can be like 'cult status' legends... in that respect he's bloody iconic for Leicester and England because of his personality more than anything else! Horrible news though
  22. Looking forward to @ElusiveEd lunchtime post "Sergio Hellings found eating out of bins in Amsterdam's red light district"
  23. Levy: “find me someone just like Harry Kane but super cheap” scout, 5 seconds later: “here you go” Levy: “who the **** are Coventry and why would I want to buy a championship player?!? What about Lukaku, what’s he up to these days?? Or that Werner fella who was shit at Chelsea as well?”
  24. Spurs are full of regret not getting Gyokeres done in the summer, they'll spunk £70m on him next year.
  25. I’d say he’s currently in a shitty limbo. We’re one midfield injury away from needing him in the squad… but he needs games… but we can’t risk him getting injured too
