  1. Definitely a positive appointment. Intrigued to see what JR's new title will be. Probably MD or maybe even some kind of "president" type role. Or "Head of Global Sport" for KP.
  2. They're secured against Premier League TV money and parachute payments over a certain time period. Have you thought about what they're secured against if we're in league one and those payments are no longer received/achievable?
  3. Make sure you do it on an early payout site I can definitely see us putting in a similar flying start to saints.... just not sure what happens after
  4. Given how well run Spurs are financially. They could likely afford a season in the Championship with zero need to sell, zero need to reduce wages and likely just absolutely cruise through to a record breaking total. Sure some players will want to leave, but think about Maddison, no one is taking him after a season out injured, likely the same with Kulusevski.
  5. File it in the same folder as Demarai Gray....
  6. He doesn't like football. Looks blindingly obvious to me. Proper Ben White character. Only problem being Ben White is good at football whilst hating it
  7. Boro haven’t won 6 out of 7 (5 out of 7 currently) They’re actually showing all the hallmarks of a comedown after a good run.
  8. Think their manager had to try something new. On a desperate run of form and sliding down the table. Impact Vardy might be a good call!
  9. There was one at Lincoln but Norwich got him!
  10. Caveat this with the fact I’m really pleased about this appointment…. But for all those saying “woooo not someone from Southampton” You can guarantee we’re bringing him in to do some Jason Wilcox style finding young talent and selling like Saints did when he came from Man City. Imagine a lot of that talent will come from City group too. Still really like this appointment though as that’s what we should be doing to be self sufficient again. Even if it’s just for a couple of seasons.
  11. Yeah mentioned it a page back. Would make sense. There’s also Sunderland’s commercial chief moving back to Derbyshire so he could be a CEO option too.
  12. How about “probably widely done in football but of course we’ve ended up with one”??
  13. You’ve been very defensive recently… I don’t think saying someone who spent their career “signing” players for Big Sam is dodgy Is baseless at all. Particularly given our pattern of use of agencies and managers agencies since his arrival.
  14. He’s a crook who spent most of his career working with Sam Allardyce. Blindingly obvious why some of our transfer dealings have happened in recent years 💵
  15. Look. We can only play 45 mins. Perhaps Rowett has decided shit first halves are better.
  16. They’ll lose this weekend… sack him and bring in an old familiar face… experienced in the championship… 3 wins out of 4 last time he was their caretaker…
  17. Dare I say he looks a bit stronger? My worry with him has always been that he might just be someone who can’t get stronger, looks promising
  18. I mean we've outsourced commercial director and CEO to a recruitment agency.... so thankfully we're not relying on those two.
  19. Tom Rawcliffe has just stepped down as Bristol City CEO to be able to move back to Nottingham ahead of the arrival of his first child. Might be one to watch. 5 years at Bristol City
  20. Do you do kids parties?
  21. Why did they change the wording on the Millwall one? His record of winning 9 out of 16 is brilliant! Or from our perspective he won 8 in 14!
  22. That was my favourite bit! Maybe he can suggest it's time to get rid of the pre match video too.
  23. Guess it depends how much say McCarron is having on things. His managers at Lommel were Liam Manning (didn't hire him though), Steve Bould (now back as a coach at QPR) and Lee Johnson (possibly didn't hire him as left as he joined). The City Group contacts will be interesting, opens up a whole world of potential managers/current youth team coaches, one we've already tapped up before of course!
  24. We've gone down the cheap route again, he's been allowed an assistant manager and that's it. GK's will continue to be coached by U21 staff.
  25. If he keeps us up he gets his pick of jobs in the summer, and I imagine there will be plenty given the amount of sides on the lookout for permanent managers and wanting to take ones currently in work.
