All I’ll say is, we’ve had a new commercial director in place for a month now and we’ve had access to away tickets for booking history, extra tickets allocated to sheff weds (after persuasion…) and now trying to make sure we’re making money rather than sitting on our hands and saying “oh well don’t want them anyway” It’s baby steps but at least there’s some semblance of someone actually doing some work. Pretty sure Harj had been sitting on his hands for the last 10 months

It means he was meant to show it with us, but wasn't about to try and do that in the Championship. So he moved to a similar sized Bundesliga team (in relation to if he'd got a prem move to Palace etc) to start again. What I mean is he'll get that big money move from Stuttgart now that he's showing what he's capable of.

I mean he's literally gone to Stuttgart to show he's worth that, and had a really good first season, particularly in Europe. They'll sell him for that much in a few years i've no doubt.

It's just the same old tired playbook of his though. Ben Godfrey and Luis Binks at the back because they were both part of THAT U17 group... and Emmanuel Dennis must be draining wages in that league! (another one of his old boys!)

Liam Manning has been given compassionate leave for the rest of the season by Huddersfield. You might remember his baby son passed away in 2024 whilst at Bristol City. At the time he very much jumped straight back into work, whilst admirable it really did seem like a difficult decision at the time and I think it's come back to bite him slightly. On top of that there's was also the fact he moved his family back 'home' to Norfolk and that couldn't have gone worse with Norwich. It's good to see a club supporting this and also see a male leader being open about struggles and needing to take time away. I imagine it was tricky for Huddersfield to not bring someone in on a more perm basis given they're not far off the play off places with plenty of time left this season.

Another weird European league. Finished in the top section so currently competing for European places, but look set to finish last of that group of teams.

I'd be intrigued as to how on earth the EFL would make their schedule work to fit around that They'd end up having to fulfill around 6 extra fixtures after February... and that's assuming they don't finish in the bottom section and end up having to fit a play off in too.
