Because like everything FIFA and UEFA do it's all about the money which allows them to stay in control it's never about what's good for football, for the fans and for any players not at one of the moneybag elite clubs. People laugh at the USA sports as money related but they are looking more competitive and fan oriented than any FIFA, UEFA and PL run events The major tournaments get more corrupt and have an ongoing negative affect on traditional national tournaments with each passing year.
