  6. 'It's pure passion what you see around you' - Van Nistelrooypublished at 09:36 09:36 Image source,Getty Images Leicester boss Ruud van Nistelrooy believes fans are showing "pure passion" amid recent protests. A section of supporters held a protest march against the Foxes' hierarchy before the recent home defeat by Arsenal. Director of football Jon Rudkin has come under increasing pressure from fans with the club sitting second from bottom in the table after winning only four of their 25 Premier League games this season. Foxes chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha called for fans to unite behind the team in his programme notes before the game against the Gunners, but Van Nistelrooy does not feel the protests impacted the team and believes there is still enough support for his players. "I do. I think it's pure passion what you see around you," the Dutchman said before Friday's home game against Brentford. "Passion for the football club to do better and that is a great thing to see and to feel and to represent that. "I feel in the Arsenal game we were supported really well. I didn't hear any negativity. The fans were all behind the team. "We all suffered, off and on the pitch with those late goals. The protest, I haven't really seen that because we were already in the stadium preparing for the game. "So the supporters did that separate from us. So that helped. We were focusing on the game and when we went out there was nothing visible about that and that felt like great support."

Evans’ star is on the rise after a hat-trick for City’s Under-21s against Newcastle last Friday propelled him to the top of the Premier League 2 scorers’ chart. He now has nine goals in 11 appearances in the division, with only Arsenal’s Ethan Nwaneri ever scoring more at the same age. With City’s senior players having only scored four goals in their last 10 Premier League fixtures, there are growing calls for Evans to be given a chance. That opportunity does not look like it will come this Friday night against Brentford, with van Nistelrooy revealing that Evans is now dealing with a “little injury”. But when he’s fit, he’s not being ruled out of contention based on his age. “We have to be careful with our talents,” van Nistelrooy said. “Realistically, it’s very simple. When they’re ready and good enough and better than what we have, they’re going to have to play, because it’s the best for the football club. “For Jake now, he’s adjusting to training with the first team, making very valuable minutes in the Under-21s. He’s picked up a little injury now so we need to look after him. “Let’s hope he keeps developing and can train a lot more with us. But we have to also be careful. Little injuries like he has now, we have to assess him, we hope it’s not much. He’s a great prospect for the future and hopefully the near, near future.” With the free-scoring 16-year-old not available, City’s regular first-team attackers must find their shooting boots this Friday to avoid the club setting an unwanted record. They have lost five home league games in a row without scoring. No top-flight English club has ever done so six games in a row in the same season. Van Nistelrooy said: “We have to look to be ruthless, but ruthless is in both boxes. So a clearance or a block in your own last third always has to be ruthless. A tackle there is vital, concede a penalty or not, whether you clear the ball off the line or not. “So that's where the games get decided, in both boxes. It's not a button you can switch on for a game. “I think you have to demand that in every training session. In every finishing drill, in every attack versus defence drill, score, score, score. “For me it's a process that I'm in with the team. To keep improving we're trying to do that on a daily basis, trying to improve.”

  9. As benevolent and public spirited as it is maybe the club could see their way to having a few fans days and I don't mean donuts just a bit a respect, consideration and maybe even admiration for continuing to support the club through thick and thin.
  10. He was offered a route as a CB but did not want that, although that's where he's ended up playing. I think the gap between Barnes/KDH and now is because we were still playing and supporting youngster that were recruited whilst still at Belvoir Drive and destined to play in the Championship/L1/L2 which was where the 1st team were playing. Hence why the U21/23s were awash with 21, 22 and 23 years olds with no real prospect of playing in the PL.
  11. Leicester are unbeaten in their last four home league games against Brentford (W2 D2), having failed to win in any of their first eight home meetings with the Bees between 1937 and 1953 (D4 L4). However, the Foxes have lost each of their last five Premier League home games – they have never lost six in a row on home soil in their league history.
  12. Again why does it matter what other FABs do, is it a legal requirement? If not it doesn't have to be agreed to. Who compiles the minutes? I presume it's the Club reps, I'm sure they're truthful and agreed to by the Fan's rep but they decide what is published and what isn't re the detail and control the narrative.

  17. Can people stop comparing us to other clubs what does it matter to LCFC fans what they do. It's how our club is performing now, not 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9 years ago both on and off the pitch. By any measure both are appalling and stem from the poor management of the available finances which have been substantial for a club of our size. Add to that the way the fans on every measure are treated at best with indifference and mostly with contempt is totally unacceptable and on a personal level not how I would treat any one. Im

After two matches as a substitute, Alves was brought into the 11 for loan club Cardiff City’s Severnside Derby with Bristol City, the Bluebirds earning a 1-1 draw with a late equaliser through Yousef Salech. And Alves will be a strong contender to start again after he was picked out by WalesOnline as Cardiff’s star man. nlock READ MORE: Gary Lineker 'fears the worst' for Leicester City as he lays out nightmare relegation scenario Playing the full 90 minutes, first on the left wing and then on the right, Alves set up three chances, the joint-most in the game, and completed seven progressive carries, including three into the penalty area. WalesOnline wrote of Alves’ performance: “A lively presence in the final third throughout. Was at the heart of what was an improved second-half performance.” Speaking ahead of the game, Cardiff boss Omer Riza, who worked with Alves in England’s youth set-up, had praised the teenager, saying: “Young Will Alves has looked very lively, very bright. He causes problems.” Reacting to full senior debut, having only ever been a substitute for City, Alves wrote on social media: “A hard fought point and a proud moment to have made my first start for the club at home.” The draw against Bristol City leaves Cardiff three points above the Championship drop zone with 14 matches to play, and with two big fixtures coming up against 23rd-placed Plymouth and 21st-placed Hull. Then Alves may get to take on Premier League opposition with Cardiff travelling to Aston Villa to compete for a place in the FA Cup quarter-finals.
