  1. We can dream that he outshines Rudkin and Top sees it's time to move him out. He'll be here until KP sells.
  2. A good TD / CD will likely be in employment and have to give 3+ months notice which would be in addition to finding them in the first place. I'd rather it took a bit of time as it's more likely to indicate we're getting someone half decent with the relevant experience.
  3. Oops, No that should read Trust not club
  4. We should make the membership fee last for 5 or 10 years, free for under 18s, with a life time membership older people and disabled people. As long as we have sufficient funds for the running of the club. Trust If money is needed for campaigns or community activities then I'm sure many fans would contribute at the time.
  5. Why I publish the story rather than just the link. For a second I thought it was Russell Martini the great Italian coach.
  6. https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/khun-top-leicester-city-strong-chris-coleman-warning-stinks-of/ Frankly disgraceful' - Leicester City board questioned as Chris Coleman update emerges By Declan Harte Published Jan 27, 2026, 7:30 PM GMT This article is part of Football League World's 'Terrace Talk' series, which provides personal opinions from our FLW Fan Pundits regarding the latest breaking news, teams, players, managers, potential signings and more… Chris Coleman has emerged as a front-runner to take over at Leicester City following their decision to part ways with Martí Cifuentes. A 2-1 loss to Oxford United on Saturday proved the final straw for the Foxes’ hierarchy, who pulled the plug on the Spaniard, who only took over the first team squad in the summer. According to Football Insider, the former Wales manager is on the club’s radar as a leading option to replace Cifuentes. The 55-year-old has previously worked with OH Leuven in Belgium, who are Leicester’s sister club, giving him an obvious working relationship with the owners. Coleman is currently out of work, but has previously worked in English football with Fulham, Coventry City and, more recently, Sunderland. Leicester urged to avoid Chris Coleman appointment When asked about the possible arrival of Coleman as head coach, FLW’s Leicester fan pundit Louchlainn Martin claimed it would be a disastrous decision by the club, and he has urged them to avoid it at all costs. He believes a move for the Welshman could tailspin into a relegation battle, suggesting that interim coach Andy King would be a better choice to remain in charge of the first team. “The news that Leicester City are considering Chris Coleman does not surprise me in the slightest, but it is quite frankly disgraceful in my opinion,” Martin told Football League World. “It stinks of a lazy bit of managerial recruitment. It sounds like the club just reaching out to people they know and who may be desperate for work. “Jobs for mates, that’s how it smells. A cheap, easy appointment to make. “Look, his managerial career is nothing special. I’m not the biggest fan of Gary Rowett coming in, but I think I would prefer Gary Rowett coming in over Chris Coleman. “I don’t think that’s the right choice to make whatsoever. “That would stink to me of relegation to League One if we were to do that, in fact I would probably stick with just Andy King, rather than bringing in Chris Coleman. “Strongly against it. I can assure you that 95 per cent of the Leicester fan base would be strongly against that appointment also.” Leicester fell to 14th in the Championship table with their defeat to the U’s last weekend, leaving them six points adrift of the play-off places. The Foxes were hoping to compete for promotion straight back to the top flight at the first attempt, but a possible points deduction on the horizon could lead them to worrying more about the bottom three. Coleman’s last role in football was with Greek side Asteras Tripolis, but he was dismissed from his position earlier this month.
  7. https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/whats-on/food-drink/popular-leicester-bar-closes-administration-10779978 Revolution in Leicester closes as neighbour says area getting 'more and more dead' The bar's closure is part of a nationwide decision affecting 21 venues Jasmine Siddon Reporter 15:56, 27 Jan 2026 Revolution in New Walk The venue, known for its cocktails and flavoured vodkas, is to close with immediate effect.(Image: Will Johnston Photography) A well-known Leicester bar is to close with immediate effect after going into administration. Revolution, a bar in the city’s New Walk, is among 21 venues that have been shut with immediate effect today (January 27). All 14 Revolution bars, six Revolucion de Cuba bars, and one Peach Pub, all owned by The Revel Collective, have been affected. The closures have resulted in the loss of 591 jobs after the company appointed administrators, who have announced a sale securing other parts of the business. FTI Consulting has been brought in for the pub and bar operator. Ali Jimi from the coffee shop directly next door to Leicester's Revolution, Free Coffee Co Working Space, said: “It is bad because the area will be very dead. In this area there is nothing like it. “In this area there is only Revolution, and right next to it, me. There's nothing else. “I would love to have some more bars and restaurants and stuff to have movement because this place is getting more and more dead all the time. We have more competition for coffee shops. We have five coffee shops in one spot, so it's a little bit annoying.” Ali described the news as “very upsetting” and highlighted how busy Revolution would get at times. He added: “Revolution is famous. Most people will come on a Friday, Saturday, Sunday, sometimes in the mornings when there’s football on - they are packed with people and stuff. “It's very upsetting.” The bar opened in New Walk in 1999, and was known for its range of cocktails and flavoured vodka shots, as well as its late-night party atmosphere. The venue also served up food including burgers, pizzas and brunch. Just 100 yards away is another late-night bar called Sophy, in King Street. The general manager of Sophy said: “We’re very saddened to hear about the closure of Revolution. “The nightclub industry in Leicester has been under immense pressure, and it’s upsetting to see another well-known venue close its doors. Our thoughts are with the staff and everyone affected. Nightlife venues are an important part of the city’s culture and community, and their loss is felt across the whole hospitality sector." The Revel Collective, which is chaired by former Pizza Express boss Luke Johnson, said it has struggled against rising costs and weaker consumer spending, particularly among its younger clientele. Administrators FTI have confirmed a pair of deals which will secure the future of 41 sites and 1,582 jobs. The Revolution and Revolucion de Cuba brands and assets have been bought by Neos Hospitality Group, which runs the Barbara’s Bier Haus and Bonnie Rogues brands. Meanwhile, the remaining Peach Pubs business has been acquired by a newly formed group, Coral Pub Company. The Revel Collective put itself up for sale in October as its cash crisis deepened and sales slumped.
  8. Chris Coleman, the former Wales and Fulham boss, is under consideration for the vacant manager’s job at Leicester City, sources have told Football Insider. Coleman is well-known to the Leicester ownership, having worked for their sister club OH Leuven in Belgium before his dismissal in June 2025. The 55-year-old helped steer Leuven steer clear of relegation in his first season in charge, having taken over when the club were third-bottom of the Belgian Pro League. Leicester are searching for a new manager following the sacking of Marti Cifuentes over the weekend, with first-team coach Andy King placed in interim charge. The Foxes have high hopes for coach King and see him as a future manager, and feel Coleman could be the perfect mentor due to their long-standing association together with Wales. Coleman is free and available having left Greek side Asteras Tripolis earlier this month, and would be interested in working alongside King to help the former Wales midfielder in his fledgling coaching career.
