Lawrie Dudfield · Follow Very sad to hear of John Robertson’s passing today. A great mentor and a brilliant man during my days at Leicester City. Still turned up on Friday mornings for young v old, desperate to win, even though he was assistant manager, in his mid 50’s and training with Premier League players. A huge influence on so many football careers and I’ll always be grateful. On top of all of that…. WHAT A PLAYER. ONE OF THE GREATEST! Love and condolences to his family. Thanks for everything, Robbo!

Obviously the highest level that suits his current progress is the best but more importantly is game time. No one will guarantee him game time in L1 or the Championship. The position he plays in is one of the hardest to shift out an experienced player.

Hidden Leicester · Graham Hulme An old postcard view of Narborough Road. The card was posted to West Bridge in Leicester in March 1910. The tower just seen in the far distance appears to belong to the former Westcotes Secondary School. This was originally called the Narborough Road School which was built for the Leicester School Board and opened in January 1903. The building was designed by the Leicester architect Edward Burgess (1847-1929) who did several other distinctive school buildings around the city for the old School Board (the Leicester School Board had been established in 1871 following the passing of the 1870 Education Act). The architect is also notable for his design of the late Victorian Leicester coffee houses and the impressive Alexandra House, the former bootlace warehouse, built for Faire Brothers on Rutland Street. The Narborough Road School was one of the last to be commissioned by the Board before that body was disbanded, like all other school boards around the country, following the 1902 Education Act and responsibility passed to a new Education Committee of the council. The Narborough Road School became a secondary modern school following the passing of the 1944 Education Act. -
On the pitch player quality no not by a country mile. Off the pitch financially no. Off and on the pitch attitude and commitment even at our grimmest times YES.

https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/leicester-city-anstey-nomads-nugent-10719968 Ex-Leicester City keeper eyes up Wembley after stunning run with the help of a familiar face Ex-Leicester City star Conrad Logan has led non-league side Anstey Nomads on a remarkable run in the FA Trophy Josh Holland Sport Central Audience Writer 07:00, 26 Dec 2025 Anstey Nomads are the latest non-league club from Leicestershire putting themselves firmly on the map with former Leicester City goalkeeper Conrad Logan overseeing the start of an exciting era at the club. The Nomads, founded in 1946, currently play in the eighth tier of English football and step four of non-league. After two consecutive play-off heartbreaks in the Northern Premier League Midlands Division, dreams of a long-awaited promotion to step three of non-league are alive, with them currently sat third. However, it's their FA Trophy campaign that has got the small village of Anstey excited and the rest of the footballing world paying attention. Next month, Anstey, who have David Nugent playing for them, will travel to National League outfit Halifax in the fourth round of the competition. To put their progress into perspective, they are just four rounds away from Wembley. Left in the competition are the likes of Southend United, Morecambe, Forest Green Rovers and Scunthorpe United. Former Leicester City star sacked by Championship rival in seventh managerial change Leicester City transfer state of play with priority signing, two sales and big-money interest “Every season over the last couple of years, we’ve done well and [the] cups, sometimes you get penalised with them because you’ve got a lot of games to play and catch-up," Logan explained. "You’re never ahead of teams; you are two or three games behind. "To do well in the FA Trophy this year is great! It’ll be a busy end to the season with all the games we’ve got to catch up on, but everyone wants to be involved in winning games, whatever competition that is. It keeps morale and confidence high." Nugent, who scored 59 times across 180 matches for Leicester City and is a former England international, has been having a huge impact on the dressing room since signing for the Nomads. “I’ve known Nuges (Nugent) for years. His daughter plays for the football club, in my son’s team," Logan said. "He’s been out of football and I know he’s done some media work, but he wants to do some of his coaching badges, so I asked him to come along. He’s a really nice guy and we’re a good group, so what the lads can learn from him, people will start picking his brains to see what they can do better. It’s been good fun and a positive move.” Two weeks ago, Anstey travelled to Hartlepool United and produced the biggest upset of the competition. A goal in each half from Jordan Annable and Tendai Chitiza sealed the win, one that Logan described as "the best day in the club's history". Content cannot be displayed without consent In the New Year, they will travel to The Shay Stadium looking to create another landmark moment in the club's history. "We’ve got an excellent bunch of players," Logan explained. "Yes, we’re only step four, a lot of these can play higher. "Beating Stratford, Stourbridge and Bedford, we weren’t going into those games thinking ‘they’re bigger and better than us’, we went into them thinking we could do a job. Hartlepool, granted, there is a big gap! Yes, you may be the underdog, but they are good players, and they deserve it. The games that they have won, they have deserved to win. “The Hartlepool one, as much as we can say we had confidence, no one expected us to win that. We had 300/400 fans come down and have a great day out, so the scenes there, not just for us, but for the community and everyone involved, it’s history. Fans have never seen that before from Anstey Nomads. Now, we have Halifax, and hopefully it’s the same, if not better. “It’s another big draw against a club steeped in history. However, we go into it, and hopefully the lads can do themselves justice. The only thing I was worried about in the Hartlepool game was, potentially, the lads getting caught up in the occasion rather than the game. Hopefully, with the experience and confidence from Hartlepool, we can take it and see where it takes us." “It’s fantastic for the community," Logan added. "We took two Ausden Clark double-deckers to Hartlepool, and I think we’ll be doing at least three for Halifax. "It’s brilliant. I’ve been involved in the club for five years, Tony has been here for much longer and we’ve got people coming to support the club who we don’t know. Usually, you know everyone, which shows how much the club is growing and how many people in the community are behind it.

The Club, Thais don't care about our history never have done. Never shown any interest. One of the 1st things they did was to strip the stadium of anything that wasn't Thai related. Look how the stadium banner says King Power Est 1884 with the badge stuck in between hardly visible The "Leicester City FC hidden behind both screens. Deliberate - I think so.
