If Leicester City didn't exist anymore
davieG replied to Leicesterpool's topic in Leicester City Forum
These last few years when I've thought of this I tell myself that if I was starting out watching football I wouldn't want to support any PL or even FL team I'd go for my nearest local team with my brother and mates like i did when I first started watching Leicester. -
Having a draw for pot 4 seems like a waste you might as well just stick them in based on who the can’t play

How come we’ve got 2 European teams

British Comedy This is truly awful. There is not one programme on all three channels I want to watch,’ Michael Wood claimed on X. ‘Its all a bit bleak isn’t it,’ neptunestardust shared. ‘BBC Christmas TV used to have Nigella, an expensive six-part Andrew Davies period drama adaptation or a gritty Agatha Christie, what happened?’ Amelia Hockey asked. ‘Absolutely zero Christmas specials of any interest this year,’ Liam Hall lamented. ‘Oi man TV is dying a FAST death,’ DeOne declared. This is just a normal ITV schedule with the word Christmas slapped on it,’ TharriesYT addedThe days of Christmas TV being an event is long gone isn’t it. Last year on the BBC being an anomaly,’ Bendrix shared. ‘The terrestrials have given up on Xmas. Everyone’s moved to streaming. It’s inevitable, but I miss the days when you could sit in front of one channel all day at Xmas if you wanted to,’ Benet Catt reflected. And there was plenty of woe of the heavily criticised Mrs Browns Boys making the cut, again. ‘Mrs’ Browns Boys ruining my Christmas Day again,’ Alan Hartnett said. ‘Ending Christmas day with Mrs Browns Boys is diabolical behaviour,’ Linds echoed.

Of course but they don’t care about our history that’s why they took the banner down and replaced it with KP with the LCFC hidden behind the screens. They also took all the banners outside down and again replaced them with KP. We’re struggling financially but still prefer the KP stadium. It was only recently after complaints that they made a half hearted attempt to make the stadium from the outside look like the home LCFC rather than KPFC. From the off they used LCFC as a vehicle to promote the King Power brand they got lucky winning the league and cup but now haven’t the resources to even do that if any thing the King Power brand has become tarnished with the smell of failure and mismanagement.

Well not yet anyway. Leicester Memories Mervin Wallace · ON THE 5th DECEMBER 1973 During the petrol shortage brought about by Oil Crisis*, the government imposed a 50 mph speed limit on single carriageways and 60 mph on dual carriageways to save fuel. This followed the previously issued Petrol Ration Books issued in November. Nobody thankfully back then ever needed to use them. *The 1973 oil crisis from October to March 1974, was caused by an OAPEC oil embargo imposed in retaliation for U.S. support of Israel during the Yom Kippur War, combined with a broader decision by OPEC to sharply raise oil prices. The embargo banned petroleum exports to the United States and other pro-Israel nations, and both OAPEC and OPEC implemented production cuts, which sent oil prices skyrocketing.

Seems like KP have gone for a race to the bottom for both clubs let's see who wins/loses

It's got to be this in the hope we can get some cash for them in January as they'll be fit to play but not so fit compete.

Growing up in my Britain was GREAT · Follow People nowadays think that having to work in a factory was dreary, monotonous, and all for peanuts..............well I worked in MANY factories during the 60s and 70s, everything from shoes to windows and doors and I can tell you it was ANYTHING but dreary. We pranked one another all day long, was excited whenever the tea lady came around, suffered eating the canteen dinners with hungry smiles, snuck off for a smoke now and then, and of course rejoiced when that magic time of clocking OUT came! Friday was heaven when the pay packets came around, tearing it open to see how much overtime you had made. It was off to the pub then for a few pints and good banter, then to the chippy for piece of cod and six-penny worth of chips, and maybe mushy peas. Bloody good times if you ask me. I'm sure some of this still exists in one form or another.

Are you James Maddison in disguise? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cx2pe14l240o Foxes in League One? Out of your mind, says James Jordan James is on loan at Leicester from French club Rennes ByAndrew Aloia, BBC Sport, East Midlands and Owynn Palmer-Atkin, BBC Radio Leicester Midfielder Jordan James says the thought of Leicester City suffering back-to-back relegations to plummet into League One defies logic - and insists Foxes players are "only looking up" the Championship table. Defeats by Southampton and Sheffield United last week – two games in which Leicester conceded three first-half goals in each – has the East Midlands club just six places and seven points above the relegation spots. But Wales international James described the second-tier standings as "carnage", pointing out that 16th-placed Leicester remaining closer to the play-off spots after 18 games - with Bristol City, in sixth spot, being just five points better off. "If you think Leicester can be in League One, then you have lost your mind," the 21-year-old told BBC Radio Leicester. "The players we have got are Premier League players and it will show. I genuinely believe that. "I won't let that [relegation to League One] happen, a lot of players won't let that happen, the leaders in the group won't let it happen. "For us, we are only looking up. It can change very quickly." Cifuentes focused on results not Leicester's legal case And while the threat of a points penalty for alleged breaches of spending rules - which Leicester is locked in a legal battle with the Premier League over - shrouds the club's true position in uncertainty, James insists the off-field challenges are not a distraction. "We don't really think about the points deduction, we are focused on where we are now, how many points we have now and how many points we need to get to where we want to get to," he told BBC East Midlands Today. "If the points deduction comes, then we will deal with it then. For now, it's out of our control." For a Leicester side that has stuttered on its return to the Championship this season, summer loan addition James has been a reliable and often outstanding performer. His thumping 83rd-minute finish against Sheffield United gave Leicester hope of rescuing a result on Saturday after Stephy Mavididi had already pulled a goal back for the hosts. But there was no more late drama as the Blades hung on for a 3-2 win that piled pressure on Foxes boss Marti Cifuentes. James defended his manager, saying the second-half performance at the weekend was proof of the Foxes' unity. "We are focused on getting three points for us as a team and for him, because he deserves it," he added. "The other day [being 3-0 down at the break] wasn't good enough, and we know it wasn't good enough. We apologise to the fans for that first 10 minutes. "At half-time we said, 'this is not who we are, who we want to be'. And we showed that in the second half, the fight was completely different. "We know the fans are frustrated, we can see it and we can feel it. And it is our job to go and change that."
