I think they seriously underestimated the level of support for Palestine that's developed from watching the current conflict unfold, so thought that proscribing a pro-Palestine group would shut it down. Just say you don't actually understand xG and be done with it. It's a measure of the quality of chances you're creating. Top quality strikers will outperform their xG, dogshit will underperform it due to the whole nature of strikers, but it's a chance creation metric and intended to be used as such. Use it to evaluate trends, like are the quality of chances you're creating going down?
