they aren't going to do that, it needs to be imposed. 6 clubs know it protects their status at the top of the league due to them being able to spend their way to a massive global revenue advantage and the rest know it gives them a huge advantage over newly promoted teams, there's about 5 clubs every year that would want it changed and 3 of them are newly promoted

yes but I bet you didn't notice that when ever a midfielder was coving a defender who was out of position it was Skipp, not everything players do that's important shows up in stats

I thought he had a bog standard solid performance, nothing spectacular but you don't expect that from his role he's there to do a defensive role and recycle the ball when needed

if his only knock is some long passes go into touch I think we can more than live with that, even if they do go out it gets the ball up the pitch and relieves pressure, not a bad thing

he was solid enough today, had a couple of dribbles one of which lead to the goal, he needs to do that more as he's really good at it

that's a really good win IMO, they will be tough to beat down there all season. Stolarczyk clearly man of the match, absolutely brilliant game, Hamza had a really good game if he ends up being Riccy's back up this season with JJ sold he will be more than adequate. I though both Skipp and Soumare were solid enough and Winks didn't seem to be sulking when he came on really energetic cameo especially late on to see the game out. Monga and Page again were good but nothing spectacular and certainly didn't look out of place in the team. What a goal from Abdul not his best game but never loses confidence, needs to be stronger though in our half his last act nearly lead to an equaliser. Ayew's general play was good and he was over protecting Monga when he was getting some of the rough stuff which was good to see. Daka when he came on had some good hold up play his only chance on goals was a good block but the pass probably should have gone beyond him to the back post where Silko was in more space
