  1. Massive self-own. Absolute howler.
  2. I watched a couple of vlogs from opposition fans when they played us earlier this season and the way they treated us was hilarious to me. It really hit me that we have changed as a club. There was one in particular, a Hull fan who was in awe about the fact they were playing us (which is funny as we've seen it many a time) and when they won it was like they'd beaten a top side. We need to embrace this and we can have success again. We're a bigger club than a lot of our fans think we are.
  3. I can't even call them lucky for that earlier. Fully deserved the win and I fully expect them to survive now after a wobble maybe a week ago. Never mind. Lets give them a couple of beatings next year instead. Manchester United though. Bloody hell. They really are horrifically bad and there is no end in sight whatsoever either. Their ownership change is just essentially a double down of the Glazers. It's been a decade since they won a league and I'd bet good money they do another.
  4. We're in the very luxurious position of being able to take some punts in this window. I think another number 8 (Gronbaek or Bernabe) has to be the priority, but we're in a position where we can take some punts on players like Fatawu and Cannon. We're going to get promoted bar an absolute tailspin in form. Lets get some players with high upside in and integrated. Gronbaek probably fits this category perfectly to be honest.
  5. I can't think of a team we have a better record against since I've followed than Huddersfield.
  6. For what it's worth I agree with the gist of this but I do think those two specifically won't be coming to us.
  7. Toney we'd have no chance at all as he's getting linked to the very top teams. Solanke I doubt it, he'd cost a club record, I don't see us dropping £45mil or whatever on somebody like we'd probably have to for him.
  8. So he's very creative, can dribble, is quick, can shoot (we know the wondergoal is coming) and is actually very defensively savvy as well. All this aged 19. I've been waiting for the catch with him all season but he seems to be getting better if anything.
  9. The first two are a real ****er - two of the worst games it could've been.
  10. Yeah genuinely seems in the minority. I don't think it was bad but I was surprised to get back and see these sorts of comments, I thought it was pretty average really. Birmingham was better for me and probably Ipswich too. I was in the corner so quite far to the right. Cardiff's home atmosphere the worst I've been to all season other than Blackburn. Just eerily quiet and they always used to have a bit more about them, even at their current ground.
  11. Southampton have still got to go away to us, Leeds, Ipswich and West Brom. Leeds v Southampton is on the final day!
  12. He's really, really good.
  13. Think a striker is our priority upon promotion. A striker in the Toney / Solanke mould. Not saying them as they wouldn't come to us now but whoever the next of that type of striker is.

He's a good defender. I'm going to give him some benefit of the doubt on last season. We had zero defensive coaching whatsoever and appalling players around him.
  15. I have to say Cardiff have plateaued as a fanbase. They used to have a bit of an edge about them. That was probably second to only Blackburn last night for abysmal atmosphere. One of these eerily quiet games for parts. We were meh. A decline from Ipswich & Birmingham. Had our moments. Felt like a league cup game again. EDIT: Just read some of the above - genuinely surprised how highly some rated it. It was definitely worse than Birmingham.
  16. Give me that record. We can do it.
  17. The fans are too brainwashed by the ownership to call it out is the long and short of it.
  18. Why they kept him on in the summer I'll never know. They've been spooked ever since De Boer and become probably the dullest club in the division. This was a good year to gamble as well as the three who came up looked pretty obviously bad (bar Burnley who've totally tanked anyway), they've played 'safe' and are still in the most trouble they've been in for a while.
  19. The timing of that sacking was always going to add pressure onto Rooney. They'd just beaten West Brom 3-1 to go into the playoffs and had a pretty crap run of fixtures coming up. It's an obviously stupid move regardless though so no real sympathy.
  20. We have the fanbase. We're just determined to keep the numbers lower to fleece the ones who do go instead of filling it. This club hasn't become smart or well run because Maresca's fixed things on the pitch. Very much a heavy make-up job.
  21. Lots of bad memories of this fixture in the Championship (it was almost 'always' a night game too) but these are different times. I'll say a 1-2 win.
  22. Do feel like there's been a slight upturn but always cautious about this with us.
  23. Very much getting vibes of last season's players who had an eye on the exit with him. I've long defended him on here but I can't anymore. This is the Championship and he's offering next to nothing more often than not. I'd cash in in January now if possible.
  24. I thought he'd shown signs of improvement in both this and Rotherham but bloody hell man bring him down!
  25. I think if you take the day as a whole, Leeds lost (as is so utterly Leeds after a result like that at the weekend) and we've avoided defeat at the team in 2nd so it wasn't a terrible day, just annoying because it could've been better. I've no doubt we'll go up but some bad habits are creeping in with us. That's four away games in five we've let in a decisive (at the time) late goal. Extremely us to find a way to not win on Boxing Day.
