  1. Who's position would you rather be in at this point? LCFC or WBA?
  2. Wasn't there a suggestion that James might've been on the bench today? Can't be far away
  3. Ayew has a cut on his foot. Abdul's knee is playing up which is a worry.
  4. How long until we get a red card?
  5. 3 days training isn't much but enough to see if the body language has changed with signs that players are up for it. We will learn a lot today whatever the result.
  6. Hoping that someone brings the Gordon Banks statue home where it should be.
  7. Appreciate the Second Tier podcast has it's critics but I think this is mostly a fair discussion....
  8. That name needs to be added to the swear filter
  9. It was a misquote that gathered momentum. Later clarified the PL were actually seeking a 12-point deduction.
  10. Please make this stop.
  11. Of course we should've. It's how the process works. See @Finnegan posts above.
  12. The retrospective applying of rules question has never been addressed as far as I can tell.
  13. ......based on what’s publicly happened so far under the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR), there is no clear instance yet of a points deduction being increased on appeal. What has happened to date involves adjustments in the opposite direction: 📉 Reduction on appeal (not increase) Everton F.C. was initially hit with a 10-point deduction for breaching Premier League PSR. On appeal to an independent Appeal Board, that deduction was reduced to six points. Other PSR appeal outcomes Nottingham Forest F.C. had a four-point deduction upheld on appeal — the sanction remained the same (i.e., it was not increased). Leicester City F.C. won an appeal against a potential PSR points deduction on jurisdictional grounds, so no deduction was applied at all. So has a deduction ever been increased on appeal? Not in the context of Premier League PSR sanctions to date. The known outcomes involve reducing a points deduction on appeal (Everton) or upholding it (Nottingham Forest), but no example has emerged where an appeal board has increased the original deduction. 👉 It is theoretically possible within the Premier League’s disciplinary framework — the independent Appeal Board has the power to reassess sanctions — but there’s no precedent yet under the PSR regime of an increased points deduction following an appeal.
  14. Yes, there is no case of a points deduction being increased on appeal.
  15. The Football authorities need to be embarrassed for coming up with nonsensicle and badly written financial rules that have proven to not be fit for purpose. The PL need to be embarrassed about launching an appeal. It really didn't need to get to this point if the PSR had been correct in the first place.
  16. In that case it makes sense to appeal the 6-point deduction.
  17. Did he not mention the PL appeal for late submission of accounts? Just half a story, as usual, to create a talking point.
  18. We can't just let it go. An appeal by the Premier League is not in our control. The club can't be held responsible for that.
  19. More from ChatGPT regarding the PL appeal for late submission of accounts... Is a points deduction realistic for just being late? In practice: A minor or short delay would almost certainly result in a fine or warning. A serious, repeated, or strategically significant failure (especially if it obstructed PSR monitoring) could justify a points deduction.
  20. From ChatGPT ... Direct late filing cases Clubs have also been penalised more specifically for late submission of accounts to governing bodies or Companies House. In most cases: The penalty has been fines, transfer embargoes, or suspension of registration rights, rather than automatic points deductions. However, under EFL regulations, failure to submit accounts on time can lead to a points deduction if deemed a serious breach.
  21. That's what I suspected and I wouldn't have thought an additional points deduction could be applied for late submission of accounts as that would've happened already to many other clubs. Fan annoyance of King Power is understandable but in this case it might be the correct action when legal advice affirms it. I suspect the retrospective question will be brought into play.
  22. Has there ever been a case where a club has had a punishment, ie. a points deduction, increased after an appeal?
  23. The late submission of Annual Accounts surely won't result in a points deduction if the PL win it's appeal? A fine, perhaps.
