Can't agree that Scotland got a tough draw. Haiti are one of the lowest ranked teams in the WC final's. It was, and obviously should've been, a 3 or 4 nil. That would've been enough for a third place. They have no excuses. Don't think they would've finished third in England's group.

Winning the group is important, I think Who can England play in the last 32? England currently lead group L, with second-placed Ghana, level with the Three Lions on four points, playing Croatia in the other match. Both games kick-off at 22:00 BST on Saturday. If England match or better Ghana's result without losing they will finish top. That would then set up a match against one of the eight best third-placed teams. If DR Congo beat Uzbekistan in their final group K match at 00:30 BST on Sunday, they will play England. If DR Congo draw or lose then England will play Senegal, unless Croatia lose to Ghana. There is a scenario where England could face the third-placed team from Group J, which would be one of Austria and Algeria, who play each other in their final game. This would happen if DR Congo draw or lose and Croatia lose and Group J gets a position. This would most likely happen through a draw, which would mean England play Algeria. England could still play Austria if they lose by one goal and Croatia lose and DR Congo do not win. If DR Congo draw or lose and Croatia lose and Group J does not get a best third place, England play Senegal. If England were to finish second in their group, they would play the second-placed team in group K which is currently Portugal.

Not sure why the main ITV match is being broadcast when it's a dead rubber. Norway want 2nd place with 10 changes. Senegal vs Iraq looks far more interesting especially as it has something riding on it (including Scotland!). ITV4 in SD for me.

Obviously not a daily wearer as it feels very delicate with no water resistance. Looks almost new given that it's over 50 years old. Sold at Disneyland Tokyo in the 70's and guessing the owner bought it as a souvenir. No idea of service history but can be repaired being a Seiko (unlike Timex, Bradley/Elgin etc). It's so draining being fed this non-stop portrayal of cone head numpties telling us how they great they are and confidentally predicting a win against Brazil. The broadcasters must go out of their way to find them as it's rare to hear a Scottish voice giving a reasonable and thoughtful interview. Probably too much to hope the BBC has realised that you don't win WC games by marching down the road with bagpipes.

Would've been great fun if England could effect whether Scotland qualified. That might test the banter!
