  2. Shit. My wife is having a hard time recovering from pregnancy/delivery. She had a horrible pregnancy and i had to do everything at home. Cook clean manage my son. Been almost 4 months since we had our second child and shes got a broken vagina still and now her shoulders are messed. Im absolutely nackered today. Need a holiday.
  3. Canadian coins are the same size as americans in the same denomination. We do have $1 and $2 coins though which they dont. Fukin hate coins. I try to pay with visa or debit card everywhere I go.Speaking of coins not sure about england but here in canada ive noticed alot of wallets no longer have change pouches in them. When I was in england last year i got me a nice wallet with a change pouch. Made my sad life a little happier
  4. By no means am i a top poster but too many damn pearson related threads argh!
  5. Here in canada wife gets 52 weeks paid by the government.
  6. With my son (2.5 now) we had issues in the first 3 days latching. Alot of people get put off and freak out if the baby isnt latching and jump to bottle and throw their hands up. Most of the time you will find its a technique issur that can be fixed with guidance and sheer persistence. Our little guy didnt starve but eventually got the hang of it. We did have a medella automatic double breat pump which we used within the first few days of birth. It helped him get breast milk while at the same time getting him to latch. To be honest it took him a good two weeks befote he really started to get the hang of latching. A lot of sleepless nights. With our second child (3.5 months now) the wife had same inital issues but from experience she figured out much sooner. My advice is to pump. You have to keep up wth it though to keep the supply going. If your wifes breasts get full or rock hard and the little one wont latch then pump it out and bottlefeed. Hard boobies can hurt and is not good if left for some time. Always good to have formula around as a backup. Here in canada the powder similac brand is cheap. The premade concentrate stuff is expensive. Id keep powder on hand. Also not sure about england but they have breast feeding clinics in the hospital so if things arent going great you take your little one in and they help out. Midwifes same thing so good that you got one coming by. Goodluck!
  7. Congrats!

  11. twinkle toes. Yes im sure he will have a nick name or two unless we fix it by then. One of his calf muscles (in both legs) is super tight. Chances are the surgery was to loosen the muscle. We want to avoid that so its good we have attacked the issue at a young age instead of waiting until he was 6 or 7. Surgery may be inevitable though because every doctor or physio we've seen say he is the most extreme case they have ever seen.
  12. I have 10 plus years experience in IT and i havent found a job in a year almost. Been on interviews but clearly they have alot of candidates to chose from. Never been off work this long it sucks. Just gotta keep head up and network like crazy. Luckily i was made redundant at my last job so i got a nice severance package. Ive been able to spend the year with my son who needs some help with walking. He is a tippy toe walker but its quite bad. We got custom orthosis devices to help him but its a pain to get him to keep them on. So been great ive been home. And we just had a baby 3 months ago so enjoying time with her. Been getting quite a bit of calls lately so lets hop somethig sticks. Keeep ya heads up. And foxfanazer enjoy it. It goes by fast!

  17. Who knew having 2 kids would be so damn tiring. Rewarding but tiring. Got an interview tomorrow as well and have had 0 time to prep. Its my 3rd and final one with the big cheese and should be brief. I will wing it. Hopefully he doesn't unzip and ask me my salary expectations at the same time.
  18. Well ya at times. But i actualy tried it and found my acid issues during thr night did decrease. Also the many factors that play in like what you are eating etc. I have a hernia by he esophagus or flappy thing down there which doesnt help my acid issues but the pills and his recommendation did help a bit

  20. In my experience jehovahs are the only group that comes around my house at least here in canada. I have on my door a sign that basically says no soliciting etc. Yet they still ring. The point of the sign is "if i dont know you then piss off unless its an emergency". Few months back they knocked on my door (admittedly one of the ladies was hot) and said "good day heres some light reading about jesus's sacrifice for this friday" seeing as it was good friday that day. And just turned and walked away. Went straight into the recycling bin.
  21. dont have curry late! My doctor told me you should stop eating 3 hours before you go to bed to allow your food to digest properly so that acid doesnt go haywire while you sleep etc.
  22. I dont see why not. Ive been.on similar acid reflux pills for yearrrrrrs and keep expired ones around incase i run out of my current ones or in my car for emerg if i forget to bring them etc. I have never grown a third testicle or went into a coma after having an expired pill. Its never good idea to used expired meds but my understanding is that if anything it just loses potency the older it gets. Its always best to see your doctor if sysmptoms have reappeared. Other things could be going on.
  23. Sorry for your loss stan. At 91 years of age thats one amazingly long life! My great grandad made it to 95.
  24. Me and the wifey were out for our anniversary dinner and saw some of ghe goof on the tele. My goodness ive never seen such a horrrible course. Its as if the whole course was scorched. Is it meant to be that way or just having issues? Not a golf fanatic but love catching a game now and then
