As for the walking over the grass tossers....i have a corner lot (big mistake) and people always cut across it. Heck people even ride their bikes across it then onto my driveway then back onto the road. They even do this while im on the driveway sometimea. Wtf? How about i just come over to your house wonder in look around and walk back out mate? When i was younger i knew to not cut across lawns because people spend time taking good care of them etc. Plus my area was full of italian families who would definitely chase my arse for breathing on their lawn . I delivered newspapers as well and painfully went up and down each driveway. Man of honour and pride! All hail the grass!

If i were you post in the usa foxes forum i think some ny'ers are in there.January is horrible month to be in nyc in terms of weather. Snow storms can bad on the northern east coast including up here in toronto area. Nyc never sleeps including winter but way better to see it in the summer, fall or spring.

In canada at least in my experiences the servers/waiteresses interact with you more if you ask them questions back etc

Service is definitely much better in North america but as mentioned its mainly in part to low wages. Servers are always nice but behind that backroom door who knows what happens to your food . Great time to watch the movie "waiting".
