Wesley Fofana - He is no more - finished - forgotten.

If selling little Wes meant keeping Maddison and Barnes for longer (2+ years) would people settle for that? -

What’s to stop people just screen grabbing the image of your E ticket and selling that? -
We hardly fair much better in that table. I believe that in each of Roger’s seasons we’ve massively outperformed our xPts. That’s my concern ahead of next season - will we get caught out next year?

An improvement on 8th next season. What’s needed?

We need to sign players to start games rather than to bolster the squad. Last summer’s signings were exclusively squad players and that’s never good. You need competition and as an attacking and defensive force our squad has never offered that over the last year to 18 months. -
He’s been bought to offer us a different option / style in midfield. He was bought as one who would gradually get game time and adapt. He’s clearly struggled in games and had the misfortune to join us in a season where defensively we’ve been an utter shambles for 3/4 of the season and that understandably won’t help any integration. He may have to be sold this summer if we don’t want to risk his value drop whilst seeing if he will adapt. He’s still highly rated amongst similar sized clubs so moving him on permanently or on loan shouldn’t be difficult.

Bernie - A Leicester City Legend, RIP

Bernie marching up and down filbert street on the pitch with the Birch would’ve been between 97 and 00. I suspect more 97/98 as I think I observed the debacle from up in the Carling stand, but I could be wrong. He 100% got another write up in the program so I any collector still has their programs from that era you’ll find a price on him in there. Think it even featured a map of all the places he walked too. -

Those who often have most to complain about moan the least, and those with least moan the most. A cheery soul who appears to have faced adversity with a cheery how do you do. -

The Birch made the mistake of offering. Bernie said no. The ‘compromise’ was for Bernie to be the halftime entertainment. -

I remember Scunthorpe away where some seats afforded you a view of a pillar and not much else. There was Bernie, behind a pillar and enthusiastically hurling abuse directly at the pillar as though it were a sentient being whilst completely unable to see the match. Prior to that I recall a misjudged half time segment with The Birch inviting Bernie onto the pitch. He’d driven past Bernie and thought it’d be interesting to interview him. As we can all now guess the interview was about as successful as you’d expect. The Birch quickly abandoned it and let Bernie just march up and down the pitch in his tartan flared trousers demonstrating to us all how to walk. -
A complete disaster. Benkovic him now.

Every single ****er seems to have fought on Boxing Day and won.

Isn’t this just our natural oscillation? We’ve experienced ‘over performance’ in the last two seasons with consecutive top 5 finishes when realistically top 8 is where we are; so at the minute ‘underperforming’ could see us about 11th - which is roughly where we find ourselves. I’m not saying I’m enjoying this but the money you have the bigger the swings you have in position.

Not really. We didn’t call it ‘The Filbert Street’. -
Panic Vestergaard. The bloke has all the physical qualities but non of the footballing ones. Utter dross. He’s on a par with Ryan Bennett.
-
Credit where it’s due. The most recent analysis of our defensive woes is a good piece.
-
Typical Tiatto in a wig performance. Ran round a lot. Tackled a lot. Dutifully gave the ball straight back to Palace. They were all bad though so can’t lay any blame at Hamza’s door. He played as he always plays. The rest played worse than they’re capable of so the blame lies with them.
-
He’s the David Price of defending. I’ve never known such a physically imposing figure lack such strength and physicality.

I’m the same. I refuse to watch, read or listen to anything by someone successful in their chosen field. Hollywood films: no thanks. Popular music: not for me. Quality literature: I don’t think so. It’s disgusting how these people who have trained from an early age and seen off hundreds and thousands of others in order to be successful at an elite level then get paid for the privilege. Give me enthusiastic mediocrity every time. -
That strikes me as a propaganda piece by Wolves to make their decision to part ways seem like a good move

This is perhaps the most I’ll thought out argument to date. You’re booing taking the knee because you think there isn’t enough racism to justify taking a knee.
-
So we’re boing them for not being anti racist enough?
