Youri has been pretty poor individually but the team does seem to work better with him. Would expect to see Daka off for Praet or something at half time. Has contributed nothing apart from quite literally jumping around.

Smith gives off the old school feeling, not dissimilar to NFP. Hopefully provides the old rocket up the arse the players need.

If only Danny Ward was in goal for them, Daka would have been through there.

Tete looking lovely. As much criticism as he’s had, a starting lineup that looked like it had intent to win (Kel & Tete) might have been nice.

You can tell this team badly needs a coach with new ideas. I‘d love to see what lightning pace and class Soumare comes up with in training because I’m yet to see anything on the pitch in a match.

Just PR Spin. The entire statement is an effort to paint himself for future employment as a dedicated and gracious man who gives his all. Despite being a ridiculously stubborn man who appears to have actively sabotaged this club for two years. He might well have a fond memory of winning the cup here but that is about as much as I believe. Everything else was a failure in disguise. Two ‘Top 5’ finishes were 4th place bottle jobs. Crashing out the FA Cup as holders and also this season to lower league opposition in early rounds. European tours where we seemed to eventually just give up despite good opportunities to win something. And then top that off with a disaster of a 22/23 PL season where he’s regressed the talent of the side, insulted players and fans and complained about the board. We have definitely dabbled above where it is perceived that our club should be, but we were a bloody good squad that deserved to be there and could (should?) have achieved even more. It’s going to take a while to get back up there if we ever can. We have to somehow avoid relegation this year for a start.

I’d argue 4-2-3-1 today. We’re getting smashed in midfield. But I don’t have faith in anyone playing wing and tracking back. Need 100% to get Ricardo on for tete there. Is Barnes on the pitch? I think he was?

Midfield is dreadful. No options and if there is even a slight hint of a counter attack we can’t pass more than 3m. No pressing, no pressure, no gameplan, no idea what they’re doing. And a manager that has no desire for the job. Haven’t got as pissed off at the screen as I did at NDidi a few mins ago.
