Was just a piss take like the sarcastic clapping a while back. There were probably a few morons who didn't realise that and joined in thinking it was serious but small minority.

Dangerous because I'm pretty sure all that scarf waving wooahh 5hit started at Southampton away with ironic piss takers because we were given a free scarf then a load of Fosse Boys took it seriously and we've still not completely shook that off. What with Susan Whelan sending us all another fvcking scarf in the post last week there was bound to be some sort of homo chant to mark the occasion.

I stand up near the back of L1 and it was defo a piss take. There was a lull in the game and atmosphere and it seemed like the drummer just racked out a bit of a rhythm as a bit of sport, but then the crowd all started with the whoop whoop stuff. It was a bit embarrassing to listen to the crowd doing that, but u can hardly blame the drummer for it. Also, never understood how a drummer can start a song and control what the crowd sings?? From what I've always heard, it's the other way round. A few people start a song, the drummer joins in, then it picks up from there. Unless a rhythm was distinctive, I personally would have no idea what song a drummer was playing by hearing a drum beat alone..... Maybe crime watch or that cadburys advert with gorilla, but other than that.........
