Darth Fox Posted 1 September 2005 Posted 1 September 2005 I but at least one Leicester shirt every year and still wear my tops from yesteryear and they are still going strong. This year I bought the white one as it looks good and my fiance bought the home one. After one wash following the instructions carefully my white top looks wrinkly and not the same and the sewing on the home ones I've notice looks like a drunk did it. Le Coq were superb quality and look the same now after many washes but what do people think of JJB. This isn't a moan just an observation and wondering if anyone else notice that quality isn't as good material wise as Le Coq.
Austin Posted 1 September 2005 Posted 1 September 2005 le cog sportif quality was alot bettr have to agree i like you wear shirts for "yesteryear" aswell and the jjb ones are still not up to standards we should expect...
seventy_times_7 Posted 1 September 2005 Posted 1 September 2005 I thought the same. The JJB kits look like they've been produced as part of GCSE sewing lesson or something. Having said that, the quality of the fosse gold shirt was equally as crap, but on the whole the le coq sportif kits were great. Last seasons home shirt is indestructable, whereas i've seen plenty of people this season with rips (already) and letters missing from the '3d' badge.
Darth Fox Posted 1 September 2005 Author Posted 1 September 2005 My Black away kit and shorts look just as good as when I bought them 2 years back. I even bought another long sleaved one also as will wear in years to come. The Blue sash on my new White top isn't even material it's a cheap rubbery stuff like u get on Music T-Shirts When does JJB deal run out?
cisono Posted 1 September 2005 Posted 1 September 2005 Looks as if the worst LCFC buy of the year (so far) is: - white away kit - with "Connolly" on the back
Hitesh Posted 1 September 2005 Posted 1 September 2005 Looks as if the worst LCFC buy of the year (so far) is: - white away kit - with "Connolly" on the back Harsh! I havent got any of the kits yet but i am planning to get the yellow one. I must admit though that i was impressed by the quality of the LeCoqSportif stuff, and much better qualtiy than FoxLeisure!
Guest Posted 1 September 2005 Posted 1 September 2005 I picked up four or five shirts before finding one without any pulls or snags, when I bought mine this summer. I haven't worn it yet, as I daren't wash it.
Darth Fox Posted 1 September 2005 Author Posted 1 September 2005 Shame really as overall kit designs are good just the JJB materials and sewing are v poor. Would be interesting to hear if any Wigan fans etc have same problem with their JJB kits.

Darth Fox Posted 1 September 2005 Author Posted 1 September 2005 Bit of a Glasgow shower then for the New shirts.

cisono Posted 1 September 2005 Posted 1 September 2005 Lynx? No wonder you've had relationship troubles! Wouldn't lynx attract girls (supposedly)?
Hitesh Posted 1 September 2005 Posted 1 September 2005 Wouldn't lynx attract girls (supposedly)? You watch too much TV!! Africa is the best lynx and i used to wear it but iv moved onto the better stuff... Cool Water!!!!
Guest Posted 1 September 2005 Posted 1 September 2005 Why on earth would I want to attract girls? I know some of the perves on here would love the thought, but I'm happily married to a bloke, thanking you!
The People's Hero Posted 1 September 2005 Posted 1 September 2005 Lynx doesn't make women love you. Having lots of money does that!
SystonFox Posted 2 September 2005 Posted 2 September 2005 my JJB kit has bobbles on it near the bottom where the 2 types of material seperate (if anyone knows what i mean) and my Le Coq shirt looks brand new. i wear them both to games and play football in them each sunday, alternate each week so they get worn about the same ammount.
cisono Posted 2 September 2005 Posted 2 September 2005 After reading all this, I am not very keen on buying the new kits!!! Any chance that JJB will improve on the quality of their kits if I hold off buying them a little while? My old kit seems robust though... and I'm very happy with it!

Know exactly what you mean, it's the same on mine. I reckon the new home shirt is badly manufactured, unlike the previous LeCoqsportif one.
Mad Dog Posted 2 September 2005 Posted 2 September 2005 the last home shirt is the best one we'll ever have probably. absolutely superb. hope you all got one for a fiver in the shop just before they released the new one if you didnt already have one!
Parsons Posted 2 September 2005 Posted 2 September 2005 DO NOT BUY THE GOALKEEPER SHIRTS!!! (they are c**p quality) after 3 or 4 matches, my top looks so s**t. loose threads and bobbles everywhere!
