ktfox59 Posted 17 May 2015 Posted 17 May 2015 Has anybody read the article Stan Colleymore wrote in the mirror. Its on twitter, about cliques in football based on memories of clubs he played for. V kind to us. In fact brilliant and inciteful

Out Foxed Posted 17 May 2015 Posted 17 May 2015 Managers can get rid of individuals eventually but with a gang of five or six players it’s not so easy, and that’s why they are so dangerous. Yet virtually every club I’ve been at has had them and, funnily enough, the only dressing room where I didn’t see any cliques was at Leicester. Instead I saw 12, 15, 18 men who were willing to stand up for each other on a week-by-week basis. There was Robbie Savage, Muzzy Izzet, Matt Elliott, Ian Marshall, Steve Walsh, Tim Flowers, Emile Heskey, Neil Lennon and a few others – and that was the purest dressing room because everybody accepted everybody else on the basis of what they did and not their colour, age or where they came from. We had lots of fun, lots of banter, but when it came to games it was one for all and all for one and there aren’t many clubs you can say that about. The bad eggs will probably be moved on by QPR this summer but, if I were in charge there, it would be the cliques I’d be more worried about.
Kinowe Soorie Posted 17 May 2015 Posted 17 May 2015 If the majority of players get on together you always have a chance. But you will always get good and back cliques in all walks of life and workplaces.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 17 May 2015 Posted 17 May 2015 Like O'Neill Pearson seems to have the same situation here, got rid of all the bad eggs and has a group of players that play for him and for each other... QPR need an overall ... completely change the way they go about obtaining players, and ensure they fit in and aren't going to cause any internal splits
Guest seanfox778 Posted 17 May 2015 Posted 17 May 2015 Another reason I love our team, they all seem like good guys and honest pros. You can see how much they play for each other and their celebrations together at the end of games last season and this season are always a joy to watch, they never fail to make me smile.
