Also, he missed his last one away at Hull and cost us going out the cup so I imagine he wanted to redeem himself and prove it was a one off. Can hardly blame him for wanting to take it and also fair play for giving it to Vardy. All Drinkwatwr probably told him is he'd get another chance to prove himself.
Babylon Posted 9 November 2015 Posted 9 November 2015 I think the people praising Watford are referring to their defensive display which was pretty good.It was clear they lacked a bit of creativity, but their pressing first half especially was exceptional. People accusing them of causing the head tennis, that was down to both teams closing quickly and no team having time on the ball. It made it scrappy, not just them to blame for that.I don't know what people are on about saying they kept going long. They went long only a handful of times more than us, but as a percentage of their overall passes it was much smaller than us. They passed it around quite nicely and broke quickly on the counter. They just needed a bit more quality, think they will be fine this year.
