Ranieri 9 - The right team selection, the right tactics and apart from getting the defense sorted for set pieces, he was spot on.

Schmeichel 8 - Clean sheet. Full of his usual passion. Not much wrong today (except for set pieces!)

Simpson 8 - Have to give Simpson a lot of credit for our improved defense.
Morgan 7 - Solid. As captain he must organize our defense better at set pieces. Why does he waste energy going up front?
Huth 8 - Solid. Back to top form since Simpson & Fuchs came into the side. Still must watch himself though as he has been lucky so far in not being sent off.
Fuchs 9 - I keep saying it, but this guy is top class. Best left back I've ever seen play for us since David Nish, and he's better than him.

Mahrez 8 - Well taken goals. Played well throughout. Swansea were scared stiff of him.
Drinkwater 8 - Superb. Bossed the midfield. Best English central midfielder out there at the moment.
Kante 9.5 - MOTM. Just awesome today. Controlled midfield with Drinky, won the ball throughout, great passing and vision.
Albrighton 7.5 - His usual great workrate, but I think the wind messed around with his crosses today. Still, I love him in the side.

Ulloa 7 - So glad Ranieri pickied him instead of Shin/Knee Okazaki. Much better having him help in defense, and I thought he played well. Shame he missed another good chance, but a run in the side will bring back his confidence and sharpness.
Vardy 8 - Worth an 8 for just being there. Fantastic workrate again, and winning that corner for the first goal by rushing the defender into a mistake was trademark Vardy. What a shame he couldn't finish one of his chances to extend his record.

Subs:

King 7 - Made a chance near the end.

Schlupp n/r Not on long enough.

(Must say how fantastic it is to have the current Swiss captain with 89 caps, An £8m player, a former Polish international with 60 caps, A 96 cap record scoring current international striker, A 32 cap Welsh midfielder, A Ghana 11 cap international, and 109 cap goalkeeper. I can't remember a stronger bench!)

Officials 6 - Didn't notice them much, so above average.

Swansea 3 - As bad as Newcastle, they have got to sort things out soon, or it will be a long hard season. At least they didn't bore me like Man Utd though.

How come the ref got 8? We had a shout for 3 penalties. Well ok, at least one of them should have been given so Vardy could have equalled the record.

its always hard to judge after just one viewing performance, especially the way we have been playing recently there is so much going on and the whole team contributes, my ratings from the man united game changed after a second viewing. i also thought the ref had a damn good game yesterday if im honest .... even though i may have called him everything under the sun for not giving us a last minute penalty so vard could get on the board

as for vardy you can see how desperate he is to score, but not at the expense of the team which is such a valuable trait for a striker, something ulloa and mahrez are lacking slightly ( not a complaint just that sometimes they drive me crazy though for wasting a chance)

over all happy days though

Ranieri 8 - The selection and setup was perfect, although the team is a more or less a given these days. The only debate is playing Ulloa or Okazaki. With the game well and truly won after Mahrez' third, I think it would've been fitting to give 2 or 3 of the players some match time. The starting XI will not stay injury and suspension free throughout the season and we should prepare for this! Benny, Inler and Schlupp could all have done with some more minutes.

Schmeichel 7 - Still the same lack of command for set pieces. Still pulled a standard save and did an alright job with his kicking. There was a short period towards the end of the first half where he made three identical long kicks within a minute which made me feel like it was Groundhog day!

Simpson 7 - Dealt very well with Montero, who has shredded better fullbacks to pieces this season. Covered a lot of ground and has grown considerably in confidence.
Morgan 8 - Gomis didn't get a sniff and he was calm and assured throughout. Confidence is oozing, exemplified by him carrying the ball forward during the second half.
Huth 8 - Gomis had no chance against Huth on Saturday. Walsh-like provocation in the opposite area as well, which shows we have players who can be dirty when needed.
Fuchs 7 - Mostly solid, but more importantly has great anticipation and uses the ball well. Got beaten for pace by Routledge who got a worrying amount of crosses in, thankfully with little quality. Didn't get forward as much as in previous matches.

Mahrez 9 - Has to get at least 9 for a hattrick, but ironically this wasn't an eyecatching performance otherwise. Very industrious, but squandered an uncharacteristically high amount of good chances too. Could and should have played in Vardy at 2-0.
Drinkwater 9 - MOTM. Unreal performance today. Did he even misplace a pass? Plenty of stats this season have shown him to have a rather average pass completion rate, mostly explained by his often ambitious play. But today he was just masterful at showing himself and use the ball flawlessly. Always found a solution and made the right decision. He looked like he owned the field today.
Kante 9 - Could have gotten the MOTM as well today along with Mahrez. His position in the team means he gets far less media attention, but he has been immaculate ever since his arrival. He doesn't get put off by much bigger and stronger players when chasing and harrying. And what drive! Carries the ball forward routinely 30-40 metres and picks a pass too (Mahrez' second goal). If anything, he should release the ball earlier sometimes (Offside for Mahrez, while Vardy was visibly and understandably frustrated he didn't get the ball earlier at 2-0 in the second half). But apart from that, phwoaarr... what a player!! Won't be here for long if he keeps this up.
Albrighton 6 - I expect better end product from Albrighton and he's had a couple of duffers in a row now. Always industrious and still very useful (provided the assist for the first), so it's hard to be too critical. His rating of 6 is based on his usual performances this season which have generally been high.

Ulloa 7 - The option he provides is so valuable to us! He played generally well, missed a couple of good chances and looked short of match practice, but he made two or three steps in the right direction. Worked his socks off and showed he's got more in his locker.
Vardy 8 - Standard Vardy. Unfortunate his run ended and I'm sure he'll regret his miss at 1-0. A little more composure and conviction, which he's shown in abundance this season, would've seen him score. One indirect assist and one direct assist and a constant menace throughout. I dread the day we lose him...

Subs:

King N/A - Looked sharp when he came on, pleased he got some well deserved minutes.

Schlupp N/A - Not on long enough.

Can you please name and shame anyone who wants Ranieri out.

This, all day. I can guarantee that "stay" won't be at 100%, and it is impossible to argue against this being the most impressive start to a Premier League season for us ever - so anyone who votes "go" for Ranieri is either a troll or an idiot and therefore an anomalous vote

8s & 9s for me, Kante, Drinky & Fuchs brilliant, Mahrez MOTM with a 10, thought the officials were very good but Swansea were awful. Keep up the excellent work Mr Ranieri please...,

Up the City....

You can vote if you're not logged in or a member of the forum so it's probably opposition fans.

I think we can safely say that 95%+ stay rating is effectively 100%.
