Aus Fox Posted 13 December 2015 Posted 13 December 2015 I would actually love to see a statue or two around the ground. We have the MCG here, every time I go I love walking around and seeing all the statues and reading about their achievements. Vardy is too soon, but as others have said, Rowley, Chandler, Lineker, Banks, Shilton, The Birch, Steve Clareidgw celebrating at Wembley. Statues need to commemorate the big achievements or big moments for our club. If Vardy goes on to get 100+ goals for us, scores the winner for England in the Euros and wins the premier league he can have one too.
Len Finsbury Posted 13 December 2015 Posted 13 December 2015 Here's a question. Do players' legendary status follow the club in general or the stadium? For example, should we have a statue outside the KP of a player that has played at the KP or just a club legend?
Clever Fox Posted 13 December 2015 Posted 13 December 2015 Too early in his career for a statue and as said many more worthy recipients of such honour. I do believe that he should have Plaque outside the Stadium marking his wonderful achievement in breaking the scoring record.
