Bazly Posted 30 December 2015 Posted 30 December 2015 Pundits did say the 6 'tough' games running up to the end of the calendar year would define the potential for Leicester City. Won 3, Drawn 2, Lost 1. I think that's delivered well beyond expectations though the failure to score in the last 2 games is 'unusual'.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 30 December 2015 Posted 30 December 2015 Don't worry about not scoring against a very well drilled Liverpool side and an elite side like man city in the last two... in both games we were there, defending soundly and had our chances. Today I truly thought we were brilliant, the last six have shown we can keep this going
Vlad the Fox Posted 1 January 2016 Posted 1 January 2016 We must keep backing the team regardless of results like we have been, good times lie ahead and we have exceeded expectations but one of the reasons for this success has been the unity running throughout to club, in my lifetime it's never been better. The owners, manager, players and us the supporters are all driving for success, it will be easier sticking together. Happy new year and up the City.
shailen Posted 1 January 2016 Posted 1 January 2016 We have shown we are not a one trick pony, and tactically we have got it right in all the games. At the half way stage where everyone has played each other we have the joint most points which shows we were the best team of round one. If we do the same or quite similar in round two we will be title contenders. I don't expect us to be as dominant in round two but there is no reason why we should rule ourselves out because of the Liverpool result. The thing about this group of players is every time we have a fall the players have responded. We could have beaten Man City and the fact that players looked disappointed to draw tells you everything you need to know. We could realistically finish top four with an eight point advantage and that would be crazy to see CL football.
