Rincewind Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Jeremy Hunt is told off for playing with his phone whilst the Shadow Health secretary is making a speech about Jr doctors contracts. Shows how much he cares about the situation. Was told he was being rude and discourteous and if he does not want to pay attention then get out. https://www.facebook.com/Channel4News/videos/10153726375391939/
Rincewind Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 I liked the sub-forum for News&Events Me too it was easier to ignore.
Rincewind Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 I smile at any threads about the opposition has words like nasty evil racist lefty etc labeled towards it and there are numerous post replying with hear hear yet anything that puts the Torys in a bad light is dismissed as lies. They apparently can do no wrong so anything about them is ignored and swept aside. http://www.thecanary.co/2016/05/05/despicable-snub-shows-everything-thats-wrong-camerons-government/
theessexfox Posted 30 May 2016 Posted 30 May 2016 The Tory election fraud not getting much media coverage at all - if they find that the bills should have been part of local campaign spending rather than being paid for by National HQ, then 29 Conservatives candidates have broken campaign spending limits, which could have serious consequences. I know it was mentioned further up the page a few weeks ago.
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 30 May 2016 Posted 30 May 2016 EU ref getting all the coverage currently. I hope the media pick this up after to keep the Tory turmoil narrative going. Or they can just focus on some random Muslim student union Labour member talking about Zionists. Probably more likely knowing these hacks.

The only ones that mention it are those that are regarded as 'radicals' but if the coverage was more extensive the radicals would be moderate normal people.
Webbo Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 The only ones that mention it are those that are regarded as 'radicals' but if the coverage was more extensive the radicals would be moderate normal people. It was UKIP that made the initial complaint.
Rincewind Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 It was UKIP that made the initial complaint. Not the Tories then?
Rincewind Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 That doesn't make any sense. It would be a surprise I agree.
Webbo Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 There's a fine line between enigmatic wisdom and just talking bollox.

But I agree, let's have this out. Electoral corruption needs to known in full if that's what's happened.

I'm not saying it's okay or it doesn't deserve to be punished but lets not exaggerate.

Electoral corruption needs to known in full if that's what's happened. I was going to say, plus I hardly think her comments can be interpeted as "talking about Zionists" either, it's a bit more than that to say the least but those sort of opinions appear to be welcome in the Labour party these days despite what the leadership tells you. (The Jewish Labour movement has hit out at the party just a couple of days ago for reinstating Walker - https://www.politicshome.com/news/uk/political-parties/labour-party/news/75537/exclusive-jewish-labour-movement-hits-out-over)Although I suppose saying Jews were the chief financiers of slavery is just condemning Israel's actions. As for the issue, the Tories clearly have a lot to answer for, but they won't be the only ones, the relative silence from the other parties is quite defeaning, you can almost here the shredding of hotel bills as we speak. http://order-order.com/2016/05/25/eddie-izzards-local-hotel-bills-declared-in-labours-national-spend/
Rincewind Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 You cannot have rules for one party and not the others.Politicians work for the public and therefore should be accountable for their actions regardless of which party they represent.
Rincewind Posted 1 June 2016 Posted 1 June 2016 George Osborne has dinner with Google's executives and then agree to allow them to pay 130 million in installments 1.1 billion they owe in unpaid taxes. Meanwhile French police raid Google's HQ and French politicians refuse to do a deal over the 1.6 billion Google owe the French taxpayer saying we do not do deals like the British. If you get a letter from the tax office saying you owe them a substantial amount just call George up and ask him out to dinner so that you can work out a deal. I am sure he will be happy to oblige. Just saying.
Guest MattP Posted 1 June 2016 Posted 1 June 2016 Funny, I don't ever remember you once criticising the previous government for getting absolutely nothing from google, yet you criticise Osbourne for getting something, bizarre,
