Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 2 April 2016 Posted 2 April 2016 I've been struck recently at just how many strangers stop me or start a conversation - because I'm wearing my scarf or my shirt. As someone who lives in London, perhaps I find this even more remarkable (no one talks to you here...). I've had warm messages from supermarket cashiers, an Algerian fella in Costa just now (who says the whole of Algeria wants us to win), strangers in pubs - to name a few! Is anyone else struck by this?
Ian W LCFC Posted 2 April 2016 Posted 2 April 2016 It can make trips to the barbers much easier tbf. No more small talk, it's just the big talk about LCFC
Fez of Mahrez Posted 2 April 2016 Posted 2 April 2016 I had to practically ring the police on a bloke who came to check my burglar alarm recently, a Leeds fan who spent about half an hour going on about how amazing we were. By the end of it I'd almost have preferred to have been burgled.
lcfcliam Posted 2 April 2016 Posted 2 April 2016 Everywhere I've been when wearing city clothing all I've been asked is are you gonna do it!!!!! Even fans on the tube on the way back from Wembley were saying we are gonna do it and one lad seemed to think Spurs will nick it I wonder who he supports!
artursteppe Posted 2 April 2016 Posted 2 April 2016 Went into Brico, DIY shop in La Rochefoucauld, France. Talking with three French guys who love Kante, but they love Vardy and Mahrez as well. They wanted to talk about Jamie. We ended up singing Allez Kante, Allez Kante, Allez............. repeated and repeated etc in the way the French always sing Allez La France etc. Would be a great chant for the King Power.............Allez Kante................................he would love it!
coolcol Posted 2 April 2016 Posted 2 April 2016 A few Leicester fans went to Germany a few months back to watch our favourite German team, VFL Bochum. At Stansted four of us were waiting in the cafe and a Millwall, Spurs and Man U fan all came up to us and started talking about out chances of winning the league. I even walked past a15 strong stag part and they all started singing "You're gonna win the league...you're gonna win the league...." ...this is a once in a lifetime season folks !
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 2 April 2016 Posted 2 April 2016 Just heard the kids next door who were playing footy in the back garden shouting "play it to Vardy" and Vardy this and that, which is great considering we live in SE London. My lad wears his tops a lot and often gets comments now, people actually know and recognise the shirts.
Tim'llFixIt Posted 2 April 2016 Posted 2 April 2016 How about this one then, picture me walking through Worcester city centre trying to avoid the charity collector's and I start walking towards this fella Crazy " Krishna hara Krishna, Krishna hara Krishna Kris.... Leicester ? " Me " sorry " Crazy monk " your a Leicester fan ? " Was the craziest thing stodd having a chat with a monk about Leo's goal against Norwich, he was buzzing for us so funny
