The Curse of Leicester City lives on?

Recommended Posts

Looks like Frank Sinclair is in trouble again, the curse of Leicester City seems to live on for him!

Double ban for Sinclair

By GUY PATRICK

FOOTBALLER Frank Sinclair sparked fury yesterday after being found guilty of his second driving offence this WEEK.

The former Chelsea defender was fined less than half a week’s pay for drink-driving and got a three-year road ban  just days after losing his licence for six months for speeding.

Caroline Chisholm, from road safety charity Brake, fumed: “The courts should have shown no mercy and sent him straight to jail.

“Yet they have let him off with a ban and a fine that is little more than spare change to him.

“This sends out an appalling message to young people that celebrity buys you out of taking responsibility for your actions. Drink-driving kills 11 people on our roads every week.â€Â

Sinclair, was seen on September 2 driving “erratically†near his home in Lostock, Lancs, with more than twice the legal alcohol limit.

He pleaded guilty to drink-driving at Bolton magistrates yesterday.

Last Tuesday the ace, who earns around £4,000 a week, was banned by Calderdale JPs for doing 94mph on the M62 near Bradford in March.

Both offences followed a previous 18-month drink-drive ban.

Carole Whittingham, of the Campaign Against Drink Driving, said: “He could have killed somebody  the sentence should’ve reflected that.â€Â

Sinclair, 33, who now plays for Burnley, was wrongly accused of a sex attack in Spain last year while with Leicester City.

unlucky franky old boyo

What's unlucky about it he was driving with more than twice the legal alcohol limit, you don't do that by accident or a slight misjudgement, the guys either too thick to realise what absolute irresponsible pratt he is, either that or he's arrogant arse-wipe.

Either way he should have been banned for life.

Well said Davieg.

Sinclair has been banned before so he knows the rules inside out. His behaviour was incredibly stupid and potentially dangerous. In the light of his previous offences they should have imprisoned him - he has been let off before and still didn't realise the error of his ways.

No, some people have been banned and fined more for just being over the limit that could easily be passed off as an error of judgement, besides he'd just been banned for 6 months for speeding, well they don't pass that sentence for doing 35 in 30 limit.

On second thoughts nobody could be that stupid he's just an arrogant overpaid average footballer who thinks he can do what he likes.
