Foxoholic Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 I forgot that I am away at a wedding on the Community Shield weekend and had bought a train in advance that I obviously can't now use. Therefore I have a return train ticket (First Class both ways) for sale for the Community Shield. Leicester to St Pancras, depart 08:25 return 21:10. For sale at £40 which is less than the price I paid back in May, they would cost you over £81 on Trainline today. Happy to meet up in Leicester area to hand over tickets and collect cash.
Nick Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 what do you get in first class on a Sunday? A little less arse clenchingly embarrassed at the behaviour of pissed-up football fans in 2nd class carriages.
promised land Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 what do you get in first class on a Sunday?Better seats, but I think the free breakfast is week days only.Free wifi too.
separator Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 You normally have to walk to the buffet carriage to get your free tea and coffee at weekends, trolley service is normally weekdays only. I've travelled to London twice in first class over the last few weeks and the free breakfast is only biscuits to go with your tea. You have to pay extra for cooked grub.
BirminghamFox Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 the tickets from Nuneaton were only £4 each way last week in the Virgin sale.
kingcarr21 Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 the tickets from Nuneaton were only £4 each way last week in the Virgin sale. With the return ticket from Euston at 7:05pm. If it goes to penalties and we win the trophy good luck getting to Euston for 7:05pm I went for the 7:50pm return train to Nuneaton for £16. Much better option than to have gone for the £8 return and run the risk of not making the 7:05. Still though what an absolute steal of a price. Even at £16 I think that's an absolute bargain.

Not that it matters now as you can't buy the tickets anymore but You didn't need to get the 19:05 There was £4 tickets also available at 20:05, 21:21 and 21:51

When I looked there was only 7:05pm available but I got on it late. Still im happy with £16. My brother got on it the next day and the cheapest was £26 which I still think is more than reasonable. Are you going from Nuneaton? I was looking and car park is £1 on a sunday all day. Have you heard any different?

kingcarr21 Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 It was £2.50 when we went to Chelsea on the sunday? £2.50 is a bit steep not sure I can afford that . I will just drive to Nuneaton early and see what car park is available. Might just find a side street and park up there anyway
