As someone who doesn't live in Leicestershire and drives in every home game, the lack of parking around the ground is ridiculous. We have a massive empty space of wasteland where  the great Filbert Street stood and why can't that be converted into somesort of car park?

I appreciate parking is difficult in certain Cities - I go to most of our away games and places like Liverpool and Manchester are a nightmare so end up getting trains there - but when we've a recently new ground and quite a space for a large car park I don't understand why the club don't just purchase the land. £5 a pop, we're happy and they are happy. Some away's have brilliant car parking facilities.

Because the people who own the land are complete berks, and are holding out for university housing to be built on it so they can cash out. A car park wouldn't give them anywhere near the same amount of revenue.

After the Bede Island fiasco they tried to get planning approval to turn the pitch around at that time I believe Morrisons still had planning approval for our current site which eventually lapsed and opened up for us to move their after our expansion of Filbert St was refused.

From memory, Morrisons never received approval which was ultimately rejected by the House of Lords as the land was subject to a covenant that only allowed for the land to be used for sporting activities (certainly not retail as that portion of the LCFC application was refused).

My memory is different as i believe they had planning permission but it was time based and that time ran out, their legal appeal was re not being able to renew/continue with the original planning approval, but I could be wrong.

The original LCFC application included retail units but was subsequently removed as that was legally precluded (as Morrisons discovered).

Why not park one of your cars across your drive for a couple of hours?

Problem solved. lol

As long as none of the other fleet of cars belonging to Carlos needs to be moved during the pre-match parking time of fans. With a bit of common sense though, and the right choice of vehicle for drive blocking, I can see a way forward.
