Captain... Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 Don't even bother driving to the games any more because parking and traffic are horrendous. Get dropped off near St Margret's and walk in. Normally quicker than trying to fight through traffic find a place to park and walk from wherever I have ended up. Started doing that when we got back to the Prem, I'm assuming it is still as bad as it was. Council really need to look into it, especially if there are any expansions planned. Use the Park and rides to provide buses to the stadium, add in bus lanes for match days and give everyone an easy way of getting out off there too. It is not rocket science, we do not have the traffic infrastructure to cope with that many people trying to get to the stadium for a match. With Saturday shoppers added into the mix we need to find a better alternative. Other options include shuttle buses from the station, isn't that a railway line just below the south stand, it wouldn't be difficult to use that to get people to and from the ground quickly, it would also stop the flow of people all heading down Raw Dykes.

He'll have just said that to try to justify his sign Got to say I agree, clearly this is a massive issue for him so if someone actually parked across his drive you'd of thought he'd of taken a picture at least if not be straight on to the relevant authorities trying to get it towed.

He'll have just said that to try to justify his sign Living about 20 metres from a school, I can categorically state that there are many people out there who will happily park over your drive and not give a shit. In fact, I came home early one day from work and some *unt was actually parked in my drive.

There was no parking near his flat so we dumped the car in a residential street (I wasn't driving) and walked to his flat - this was around Saturday lunchtime. After going out on the lash and enjoying a hangover busting fry up on the Sunday morning, I was feeling rough and needed a walk so volunteered to go and fetch the car (it was a company vehicle and anyone could drive it). As I got in I noticed a note on the window and realised instantly what it was - I looked and my mate had parked right across someone's drive and we'd all got out of the car withoug noticing! My instant reaction was "oh shit" and then saw the front door open and some meathead with no shirt on come out the front door. Deciding quickly that he was unlikley to believe my protests of "I didn't park it here" I floored it and fcked off as quckly as possible with matey gesticulating wildly in the road!

To be fair if someone blocked me into my own property I'd be pretty cheesed off too. But really......I'd be embarrassed to stand there and pose for a photograph with my home made sign. This guy really needs to find something more purposeful to complain about.

Yes it is, what was also interesting is that he is asking for a parking scheme but he and his neighbors rejected the proposed scheme when it was offered to them

I come in from Melton and luckily, due to having an elderly relative who lives in the permit zone around the ground, I can park outside (or close to) her house and she gives me a permit, but otherwise it is a pain in the arse.
