Buzzard Posted 25 December 2016 Posted 25 December 2016 Hi, partner got me some new darts a couple of weeks ago, these https://www.reddragondarts.com/amberjack-3-22-gram.html and some similar red dragon darts. problem is, the shaft on all 6 of these darts comes loose after pretty much every throw and I don't know why? They are tightened as much as possible but still come loose? I have heard about o-rings, but thought these were for use only on metal shafts, whereas the ones I have are plastic. I have another couple of cheaper sets but they don't have this problem and only need tightening if I get bounce outs etc. Thanks.
kingfox Posted 25 December 2016 Posted 25 December 2016 I'd recommend these mate https://www.dartscorner.co.uk/index.php?cPath=434_477_1161 That's what I use, they never come loose.
pSinatra Posted 25 December 2016 Posted 25 December 2016 I've had that problem with darts shafts before. I will usually just end up buying new shafts. But as a temporary solution, I just wrap some PTFE tape around the thread of the shaft & screw them back in. I've even cut a strip off a Rizla paper (the gum part), wet it & wrapped that around the thread. Both work fine.
