toonboy Posted 2 October 2005 Posted 2 October 2005 Thank god hargreaves is gone, neville still there though. Jenas in but no Murphy or Parker??? I think Carrick is injured so he has an excuse there. Apart from that all pretty much expected i think.

Gené and Tonic Posted 3 October 2005 Posted 3 October 2005 Smith out for Murphy and Crouch out for Heskey and it's a good side.
Shum Posted 3 October 2005 Posted 3 October 2005 Can't beleive Alan Smith is in there ahead of Danny Murphy. Murphy has been immense this season. Also about time Hargreaves was dropped - he is pants. Bet he is injured though.
foxes_fan Posted 3 October 2005 Posted 3 October 2005 Also about time Hargreaves was dropped - he is pants. Bet he is injured though. Oh yeah, Hargreaves is sooooo bad. Ignore the fact him and Ballack control the most successful midfield in Germany, and that he's technically better than pretty much everyone but Rooney in the England team. He's the perfect squad player and has deserved to start in the past. God knows he's better than Carrick,Jenas,Parker,Butt and the rest of the average squad.

CasinoGee Posted 3 October 2005 Posted 3 October 2005 Christ on a bike! Where the fack are Murphy and Carrick?! Alan Smith is a bagowank and Jenas is very overrated.
toonboy Posted 3 October 2005 Posted 3 October 2005 Just read somewhere that Hargreaves is only left out because of injury. Could be wrong but i think that is the reason.

Hargreaves offers us nothing, he came on against Wales and pretty much all he did was give the ball away. Awful player.
toonboy Posted 5 October 2005 Posted 5 October 2005 I really can't see Sven doing it but wouldn't 3-5-2 make sense? I know it might be risky to change formation in an important match but with your first choice full backs out and 3 centre backs vying for 2 places it seems sensible. -------------Robinson------------------- --Campbell-Terry-Ferdinand---------- -------------King----------------------- -Beckham-Lampard-Gerrard-Cole--- ----------Owen-Crouch---------------- Then with a full team swap Crouch with Rooney and maybe swap King for A.Cole, with him and Beckham slightly behind the other 3. Just a thought.

Also about time Hargreaves was dropped - he is pants. Bet he is injured though. Exactly. It's a disgrace that Danny Murphy wasn't in the squad. Easily the most consistent midfielder in the Prem this season. Hargreaves wasn't dropped though, he wasn't selected due to injury. Do you really think Sven would drop him?
