Donut Posted 12 February 2017 Posted 12 February 2017 To start this post once again although a claudio ranieri fan and not wanting him to be sacked, I cant defend him on all issues and bringing on chilwell and amartey today was an admission he had picked the wrong players. I cant comment on the motivation levels. No amount of clear the air talks seem to do anything. So theres definite blame on his part. However even a new manager is unlikely to do something radically different tactically to what ranieri is doing. So there is limited scope for wholesale changes. And this leads me on to my point. Players hiding. And to me it was blindingly obvious today. Drinkwater was diabolical today. But what makes me so annoyed is the way he went missing. He wouldnt make himself avsilable for the ball, he barely played a forward pass and other than one tackle he didnt set any kind of tone. And then youve got Ndidi whos a kid and brand new, receives a ball on the half turn and he has his arms out begging his team mates to give him options. Senior players hiding. Vardy too. Youve got to make that run and drag defenders away but with the ball and without the ball STATIC. Slimani had no better service and at least won some aerial balls and made good runs. People say the summer recruitment was terrible and it wasnt good i agree. But look at all the players who are actually doing anything. Slimani is our best forward. Gray is our most direct creative player. Ndidi holds the midfield together, Amartey ACON team of tournament. Chilwell far more consistent and committed than Fuchs. All signed by Ranieri or given opportunity by him. But im tired of seeing morgan and huth with a total lack of orgsnisation and taking the easy route out instead of being brave on the ball and picking a pass. Sick of drinkwater not wanting it at his feet when he should be the heartbeat of the team. Im sick of Mahrez' attitude out of possession and passing players onto Simpson who gets doubled up and im sick of Vardy's "lack of service" when he doesnt do anything that made him a good player. Fvck your crisis talks, stop sulking and hiding and do your jobs properly
Babylon Posted 12 February 2017 Posted 12 February 2017 Wouldn't do anything radically different tactically? Bloody hell there is almost an unlimited number of tactical changes you could make. Coaching them how to attack and defend as a team would be a start. Demanding players pass and move. Deciding whether we play down the wing, through the middle, play two big men and bloody welly it.... anything. Any semblance of a style so you knew what the actual game plan was would be better than the absolute disgrace served up week after week. We've not suddenly had 20 odd players turn to crap over night. We're a badly motivated and badly managed team.

He has got to take an enormous chunk of the blame for what's going on.
cropstonfox Posted 12 February 2017 Posted 12 February 2017 Badly organised ,badly managed, badly coached, not motivated.get it,.? Time to go last year was only a dream
FLAN Posted 12 February 2017 Posted 12 February 2017 You haven't mentioned captain mute. For that reason I'm out

Fvck your crisis talks, stop sulking and hiding and do your jobs properly - Not the first game. peole seem to discover it, but since his blunder against West ham (H) he constantly nose dived. He was absolutely horrible to watch today. - I'm afraid we won't be able to keep him next season, unless there is a specific clause in his contract. Painful to watch him begging for alterntives. - Fully agree. - Today was extremely frustrating to watch. Either they blindly hoof it forward to the opposition or breaking any chance to build something up with their no more than five yards (back/side) pass. - He indeed looked today like he's not very interested anymore. Made some good runs some good through balls, but we can clearly see he's fed up with the defensive tasks. - Won't happen this year or with Ranieri. I think something is fundamentally broken between coach and players. It won't click anymore.
erlee Posted 12 February 2017 Posted 12 February 2017 Does that mean the pep talk /meeting with Vardy & Mahrez has not worked?
