Darth Fox Posted 4 October 2005 Posted 4 October 2005 Taking my other half out for a curry tonight for her birthday. Should I go for a mild one or something more powerful like a madras?
Rincewind Posted 4 October 2005 Posted 4 October 2005 Depends what you are doing after I suppose. Which do you/she prefer? Bad breath or smelly farts.
Guest Posted 4 October 2005 Posted 4 October 2005 Curries don't have to be hot to be enjoyed. Passanda is lovely, as is Korma and at a push, Tikka Massala (some places make that too hot for my delicate taste buds). Mild is the future!
Darth Fox Posted 4 October 2005 Author Posted 4 October 2005 I like a Bhuna but am partial to a Madras or a Saag also. I reckon I'll see how I feel after a few pints b4.
john_lcfc Posted 4 October 2005 Posted 4 October 2005 prawn korma 4 her.. nothing too spicy or meaty will do great for impression
MADLEVEIN Posted 4 October 2005 Posted 4 October 2005 chicken shashlick for you and malaya for the old woman at the grand durbar melton road....trust me. oh and wash it down with a pint, or two, of kingfisher lager.
Guest Posted 5 October 2005 Posted 5 October 2005 Vegtable or chicken p(h)al. Mr Lisa had one of those once. It was a very unpleasant experience for both of us.

Ric Flair Posted 6 October 2005 Posted 6 October 2005 i have tried all curries - im not a fan of drowning meat in sauce!! ill have a chinese any day Don't most chinese sauces come with muchos sauce? The nice one's do anyway. I can't stand indian and chinese dishes that are dry, you need a nice sauce to soak the rice and naan up.
Guest Posted 6 October 2005 Posted 6 October 2005 nah dont like sweet or sour really either. Duck with mixed veg and egg fried egg!! happy days Egg fried egg? Isn't that just fried egg?
Ric Flair Posted 6 October 2005 Posted 6 October 2005 Egg fried egg? Isn't that just fried egg? Unless you crack an egg in to the vegetabke oil bottle, shake it up abit and then pour some in to a frying pan and crack another egg in and fry it. Very bizarre
Darth Fox Posted 6 October 2005 Author Posted 6 October 2005 I ended up having a Madras. Bad move, tasted lovely until about half way through then the searing heat and eye watering stopped me from finishing. Stomach lining completely gone the next day Never again.

Darth Fox Posted 6 October 2005 Author Posted 6 October 2005 Don't say I didn't warn you.... I'm a bit bored with curry now I think. My new love is chinese crispy beef in sweet chilli sauce. The do it at The Baron(wetherspoons pub) in Hinckley for less than a fiver and it is trully awesome.
