Set Pieces

You know what, Shakey might not have changed a lot since he took over, but one thing he has done is sort out the drab predictable mess that was our set pieces!

 

Ive seen bits and pieces of training ground creativity each game since he took over but today there were three or four occasions.

 

Of course occasionally they won't come off and look stupid but it's great to see those elements of flair he mentioned wanting to implement when he took charge creeping in. 

 

I think it's great to see and adds to other unpredictable weapons we have like the long throw. Looking forward to hopefully seeing his influence after a full pre season

We actually have an idea now how to use short corners as well, still prefer to get the ball straight in the box but the move for the first goal was brilliant and we should mix it up more often.

nice to see Fuchs take the long shot free kick as well.

The sneaky ball to Vardy from the free kick was great and I'm surprised teams don't try that sort of thing more often

If I'm not mistaken the kick-off routine where Drinkwater smashes it out of play has also gone.

The routine at West ham was a thing of beauty. We had a couple of good ones today as well- Vardy should have scored and one led to a goal.

Set pieces have definitely improved. We look more likely to score from them and there's been some real well worked moves. West Ham (a) was magnificent.
