The Fox Covert Posted 16 May 2017 Posted 16 May 2017 Back in the day when most of the income of a football club was through the turnstiles on match day the size of the town had a massive influence on the potential size of the club. Now that so much money comes in through TV and advertising it is possible for a town the size of Blackburn to compete in the Premier League if the owner's wallet is deep enough and everything with the set-up of the club is right. How big is Bournemouth? It isn't exactly as big as Manchester or Liverpool is it? Even after two seasons in the Premier League their average attendance is still less than Blackburn struggling at the wrong end of the Championship.
